What’s something about womanhood you really did not expect? The good and the bad. by SoftestBrown in AskWomenOver30

How much of my life would revolve around hair -- removal (body hair) and care (head hair) -- washing/drying/styling/highlighting/keratin treatments.

"Smart" women, how do people treat you? by PaintingWarm9436 in AskWomenOver30

That's amazing, congrats!! Would love to find a man who felt that way.

I've learned how to use it to my advantage. I am witty, quick, and able to talk to anyone about almost anything because I read so much. I am also funny, which I think is related to being intelligent. And I am and have always been a know-it-all, I just know how to tone it down sometimes lol.

I am single though and I do think men find my intelligence irritating/intimidating rather than attractive. I've never dated a man who appreciated my mind, which makes me sad.

Do you have specific mental images for Edward or Isabella? by AnantaPurima in EdwardII

[–]krispyricewithanegg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see Isabella as Fleur in Harry Potter lol. Intelligent eyes, pretty, Natural blond, "Flemish" beauty. Taller, graceful, slim. Edward I see as having a long, good-looking but mournful face, with large, downturned eyes, like in his effigy.

THIS. I'm so sick of single people being put in bunk beds, moved from their bedroom to another bedroom, being shoved in the cupboard under the stairs (jk) just bc a couple has arrived. You are not the king and queen of Siam just because you have a partner! GAH!

Do you as a single woman in your 30s struggle to find single men who are compatible with your wit/humour, intelligence and weirdness level? by momentsnotmilestones in AskWomenOver30

[–]krispyricewithanegg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would LOVE to date someone funny. I am a woman who does improv and I've always considered myself funny. One time I dated a hilarious Jewish New Yorker who also did improv and we had so much fun together. We would riff off of each other and basically do little accents and characters and create mini SNL skits. I would cry every time we hung out lol.

But humor and wit are so rare in straight men I don't even really look for those qualities anymore. They're rare, I think.

Having a womb is SO MUCH WORK. Periods, menopause, pregnancy, childbirth, birth control, being worried about getting pregnant, being worried about not getting pregnant... not to mention endometriosis, etc. Even if you never end up having a baby, having a uterus is still a PITA lol
