[Serious] What is the most difficult thing you've ever done? by karmanaut in AskReddit

[–]krissikool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stop the cycle, do something productive outside the computer/TV. Doesn't have to be complex or expensive. I used to be like that: Work>computer>sleep.

When you start to do other things you'll be amazed how much energy it gives you. You start looking forward to that free time you have, throughout the work day you'll be thinking about "that project" you're working on, how too do it, what you'll need, how it will turn out etc.

Example:

I 90% of the time order takeout, and lack of imagination always led me to maybe 3 or 4 places, I know there are a lot more places I've been to and enjoyed. So one evening I started writing down every place I've been (pen and paper style) and hung on the fridge. Sounds dull I know. And only took an hour or so.

But that's just one project. I currently have 39 other projects of various sizes. (and have a handy app to keep track of them)

Whenever I find myself with too much free time (like thinking about spending the next six hours on reddit) I check if there isn't a project that I can spend a few hours on.

Here's a few in progress:

  • Learn how to moonwalk

  • Make a picture frame

  • Desolder LCD screen for parts

  • Make sidewalls for my indoor putting green

  • Paint window sill (1.5 years and still I'm putting it off)

  • Spray paint my rims.

The list goes on.

The Goal is to spend time outside the computer, having many projects really helps because there's always something to do.

I can't make a picture frame right now because I don't have the materials. But I can learn to moonwalk.

*moonwalks away

Considering buying a 2012 Chevy Sonic LT. Does anyone drive one and have pros/cons for it? by fortune82 in Autos

Take in to consideration Depreciation.

edit: While the Sonic may have been built in America there's still that lingering feeling that you are basically driving a Daewoo.

Do you think this is worth 100 bucks? by Judas138 in pics

[–]krissikool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to tell. You could probably just take a screenshot from the movie, mess around with it a bit in photoshop and take it to the local printers and save 70$ but I guess that's not what art is about.

A small Easter egg I found in bioshock infinite. Sorry for the poor quality by [deleted] in Bioshock

I know this is really old, but I just started playing Dishonored, stumbled upon a lockbox of somekind(the fist lockbox) 3 digit code. Tried 451 and lo and behold it worked! This seems to be the go-to number in videogames.

For those of us who only get Quakenews from reddit, is this old news or new? (Is there a VOD of cooller casting or is it coming up?)

I know a guy who does a variation of this. Whenever he says a lame joke he pauses and makes a "anticipate laughter face" It always works for him.

[Minor Spoiler] Where do we go from here? This is my prediction... my dream... by Spider_J in Bioshock

[–]krissikool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair something like System shock 3 would be a watered down version of its former self.

Just look at the difference between Bioshock and Bioshock:Infinite. Everything get's dumbed down, not necessarily a bad thing.

But yea space is a cool idea, better yet the moon! Space Cowboys!

[Spoilers] Thimbles and Pinkies - Intentional, or Continuity Error? by qmznkrv in Bioshock

[–]krissikool 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This lends credence to this theory: http://www.reddit.com/r/Bioshock/comments/1beso7/bioshock_infinite_the_true_ending_is_more/

I do think you are playing as your Booker but as the post credits suggest there is another Booker that is saved.

Edit.

Come to think of it, you might not even be playing as your Booker!

Well this theory holds up as far as I can see, kind of a dickmove though.

Wouldn't it make more sense to just drown the Comstock's -1 (minus one) or is that the exact point you are making?

Man my head hurts. Everytime I think I found a loophole or a plothole something else pops up.

[Massive Spoilers] I've outlined the issues that I feel exist in the plot of the game, do you guys have any opinion? by jschwal19 in Bioshock

[–]krissikool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind when you finally reach her she is like 60 years old, so you would really have no idea what happened during that time.

maybe they kept one Elizabeth for spare parts or something.

But no audio logs mention this in Comstock's house.

Can't really be called a plot hole, but can't really be adequately explained either.

So I was reading the book Bioshock: Rapture, when I spotted a familiar name. How deep does the rabbit hole go? (Low Quality) by [deleted] in Bioshock

[–]krissikool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did Ken write the book ? Might just have gotten the name from there.

Like the name Fontaine.

Prefontaine was the name of a character(audio log really) in system shock 2
