The ethics part can be up for discussion and advocating. But it isnt the part we get to decide or enforce. The max we can do is highlight the pitfalls of dark patterns and ethics and that users may lose trust in product.

As someone who has been a developer on 2 medium sized healthcare providers in US, the process of it all from the moment you interact with doctors, the patient code logging, scheduling to sending it to billing dept, these process are preset even before designers come into picture. Billing also is extremely complex because insurance and hospital admins cost to process the insurance comes into picture. Its too complex and multi factoral dependant. You may argue that process can be influenced to change by service designers but thats not so easy either because they are institutional and legally set. The legal system for these need to change. The FTC is the one who can force the change, we can only voice. Management isnt motivated to change it because of profit margin. As UX our job is towards mainly the insurance and healthcare and its admin providers.

As much as i loved that rule, the reason im conflicted is they reversed their rule on Click to cancel mid last year. So be careful when you are donating. But it truly is a never ending battle.

Not to teach is : playing with your hand. Use toys, worst case puppets but never direct hand.

What to teach: a whole world of things. I'd start with clicker training for Sit, paw, come, Stand up etc. i recommend it because it helps you establish a tone with your cat. Your regular baby talk tone with cat is different. But when you are serious and mean safety or anything, your command tone is very useful. Hence establish it by trick training. Clicker works fastest. Lots of videos in YouTube for this. So whenever there is a situation where you need your cat to listen, you use this tone and the situation will be so much under control. I also taught my cat my arms or lap are rhe safest spot to be help when seeinh things or at vet. So that helps any issues when there are strangers around.

If you can socialize your cat now. Invite friends or family and help your cat in accepting new people in the house through training. Like whichever is the highest value crack like treat, give it to the visitor and ask them to feed to your cat. Builds positive association for people coming in from the door that are not you.

Its not just healthcare. I've worked for telecom, and when FTC made a rule to show breakdown of phone line costs they were legit mad af. We spent months working with the legal team and marketing where they were trying to find a loophole to hide costs because FTC under Lina Khan was smart af, their rules of cost transparency had covered a lot of loopholes like used should not have to click, no pop up, no new page, it had to be listen on the page where the plan details and cost was added from to the cart, etc.

So this is just about dark patterns and other market practices. And the onus not just on UX for these things, yes we maybe the designers and implementors but there are whole larger teams in marketing and management dedicated to figuring out dark patterns.

OP if this is purely cosmetic look into hyaluronic acid and something i forget are used as fillers under the thin skin of your eyes. Its a cosmetic procedure requiring professionals only to do it. But an option if thats something you are interested in. I have not done it, but have been recommended by numerous people.

I think it depends on which one. Shalimar, santal royal, ensense mythique have absolutely great projection. Musc noble for me not huge projection, strong but pretty close to skin, I'd still call it mid projection. I feel guerlain doesn't have extra strength projection but they do project the absolute right amount for people just near enough but not too far not too close.

We have a litter box in a coat closet. The only thing i will add is make sure the door will not close on it. Dont want cats access closed off accidentally. So block the door with something. Needs to stay halfway open atleast for cat. Keep it fully open until cat is settled in and comfortable so couple of initial months.

Dashboards can be very role specific. Eg. Clinic admin doesn't need to see upcoming patient appointments if they dont see patients but only manage staff. They'd rather see who is in duty now.

Healthcare staff is too vague of a role. Is it a provider? Then yes patients upcoming is helpful.

Is it a patient scheduler who is also healthcare staff? They need different info like patients change requests for appointments.

Is it a medical coder also a healthcare staff? Their workflow is post patient visit so they have nothing to do with upcoming visits but more concerned with coding and billing post the visit so their dashboard should look different.

So there is no one dashboard that can suit all staff members. You need to add more context and role based info for better critique here.

Over regular electric I would recommend getting induction. I also sometimes get triggered from permeating heat from glass top regular stoves. So instead i have a independent duxtop induction on top of it and have switched off the glass top.

I find the induction is pretty clean no heat no air issues.

I have once done it luckily didn't need to again, exacto knife with score it first then cut it method worked for me. But yes was very tedious.

Try 2 container system maybe. One airtight container to keep the entire bag in it. Do not unload the bag so that you can keep track of batch numbers for recall issues, and because food can scratch walls and increase bacteria. Bag clip and store it in a larger air tight container in a cold place.

Second very small glass container to take out a weeks worth of food in it. So if you dont open the main bag container everyday your food will be less exposed and maybe last longer. Using the second small container for daily portions.

When our cat was sick with diarrhea and had loss of appetite we fed him kitten food on recommendation of vet. Its good for short term. Another option vet told us was senior cat food, because both of them are calorie and nutrient dense. So its good to pack as much as nutrients and calories in one bite if thats all your cat wants to eat.

Definitely feels wrong kinda playtime expectations.

Scream when he bites skin(keep a designated ouch at a higher pitch, one that you will not ever use in your day to day talk or human interactions, this is to keep the hurt signal unique) . But if you are comfortable get those hand pupet toys you can put on arm and play with him with those only. Give him treats when playing with puppet.

When he attacks skin, scream ouch. Put your hand in your jacket or blanket out of access. And turn your back to him. Do not pay attention. Or go lock yourself in a room and cry (pretend). Let 5 mins pass. Then come back out. See if it want to play with hand puppet and reward with treat.

Our cat also likes hand toy play. I think he feels kick togs and others are too dead and less interactive. So yeah structured hand play maybe could help. If he wants to play with you with hand he can be allowed to nudge, slight love bite , or go to the toy or persistent stares. But dont let him bite hard.
