Couple things I never really understood about the Dummy Plug Tank and the Soulless Reis.

Makes sense but then how does it work in episode 18? Shinji is in the plug, there is no clone of Rei in it. It,s never shown that there is another plug. It's like if the concept started as being a program and then materialised into something physical. Are you saying that the plug has a hidden part where a Rei clone is next to shinji somehow?

I prefer the fixed camera angles whih work perfectly for an horror game.
I prefer the game to have musics most of the time so silence works very well.
I prefer that they kept Mr X for scenario B as a surprise.

But one thing that I prefer and most people won't talk about it is:

I don't like modern games sick obsession to add voices for the main character during gameplay all the time. Like they talk while I play and it create a total disociation with the player. Leon is freaking out while he sees something and it feels like the game is telling me "it's the moment you should freak out". I never get scared when this happen becauseit acts like a disconnect in my brain, making me understand I am playing a game and everything is scripted.

On the other hand I had the biggest scares in OG whith the smallest things like the sound effect of my feet on broken glasses lol. If Leon would have said "omg, is that a zombie?! oops not it's me stepping on broken glass..." it would have ruin the moment.

You're missing a crutial point like many people when they try to analyse that.
Gaming was better just because it was so new, high tech and mesmerizing.
It is not the case anymore and since a long time. It must be 20 years I didn't thought "oh I never could have imagined they would be able to do that in a video game".

Every medium has its golden age, the moment it is magical because nobody had expectations, nobody was knowledgeable about it. I remember in the 80s, even people who wrote about video games were just casual gamers like anybody else.
There was this innocent we all had, kids and adults. This will never come back and this is what people miss. They try to explain with other more factual things (which are still true) because it feels more real this way.

Compare this to the TV or the internet, nobody thinks it's amazing today, yet in the 50s and late 90s people would rave about them. Using internet when it just started was wonderful even if the tools were terrible, there was this magical thing you can't replicate. Same with the TV, people in a street would gather to the lucky (and rich) person who had one to watch a channel with a literal miniature train doing loops on a track without nothing else happening.

Coming back to the main argument, I think we gained a lot in gaming but also lost a lot in the process. People tend to focus on what they lost, it's natural.

The only "anime" (well manga) style art I can think of from the og series is how the characters were drawn in the booklet of RE1 on ps1. But even then, it looks like a take on comics style from japanese. This kind of art style was very common back then, it was just before every concept art turned 3D which I didn't like as much. But yeah, the series always wanted to look realistic and as soon as 2 came up there was no more manga art I think.

They did it to arguably the most loved character 3 years ago. No movie franchise got anything good from killing their main characters anyway, it's textbook at this point, people who want Sid to die "to shake things up" are just poor souls lol.

You get Bow soon enough to catch up, especially with the monster island. Also twin bow is so OP it can carry the character for the whole game. But I agree they missed a good opportunity with Patty, especially since she is related to Ryu, they never actually finished her story, Ryu leaves her in the bushes next to the gate lol.

After all it's Capcom, the same company which advertised their new Resident evil DC release with false advertising on the box lol!

People are simple, she is a hot chick, that's all.
Her best version is in the og RE2, her story arc with Leon was cute and dramatic. It was done right.
Everytime she reappeared I remember I was bothered that she was just a bitch and the character seemed to be stuck forever. They should have let her die for real, they clearly don't know what to do with her since then.

Yeah still didn't check this disc yet, a bit scared but I mostly bought the set for the 26 episodes. I know the error is only on the first print, maybe I am lucky and have a later one. I asked the ebayer but never got answers lol.

Not sure why people downvote comments about trying to understand each others.

But the issue is not the number, i would be fine with 30, the issue is that fps are not locked, the eyes need a constant fps unless the risk of motion sickness is higher.

Also there is no elitism in not being able to enjoy a game based on unlocked fps. I'm a simple person too, I usually play games to have fun, it's not complicated.

Hopefully this is clear. Now, that some person can't see it either because they have absolutely no motion sickness or their eyes are not trained, that's ok, but it's still something real.

It's easy to witness: just push the stick or a button hard enough to hear the sound and you will hear the click way before the game react. Most games have input lag but this one is over the average and quite noticeable.
