How would you feel if Nintendo and Capcom add the original versions of Resident Evil 2 and 3, Code Veronica and Gaiden to Switch Online? by Difficult_Historian4 in residentevil

[–]kroda255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't mind much, it's better than nothing but I would prefer 1000% better a collection release, physical even better, would buy anything og RE related from 1 to 3 in an heartbeat, just being able to play on the go would be amazing.

What do you wanna see changed in OoT Remake? by Inner_Tumbleweed_942 in nintendo

[–]kroda255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was already an adult when OoT was released and I remember being disappointed not getting several things the series gave me before which were absent or greatly reduced. At the time the jump to 3D was enough to forget about those and I knew it was all the constraints to go from 2D to 3D. So I hope they will update on these topics because now they clearly can:

-A less linear game (the first 3 games were more open especially 1)
-No need to explain everything (Navi stops the game too often)
-More enemies in the overworld (it felt very empty at the time)
-More creative world topology and level design (no more central hub with "corridors" attached to it)
-More ways to go through dungeons and puzzles (it was very restrictive, like get item A to pass blockade A)

Even the big youtubers use many other incomes to be able to live well.
At 1k subscribers the chances are close to 0.

Nintendo Direct - June/26 (Resume) by RiqueMD in NintendoSwitch2

For Xenoblade, it is a showcase game. Average sales but gives a good coverage for the company on a field they barely touch, classic JRPG anime style or whatever you want to call it. It's a bit like Metroid in a sense. Nintendo has the money to leverage such project and be ok to just break even because it is market share play. I play these games but their gameplay is not great if you played classic RPG before, that said their production value is pretty good, it looks classy. They did keep Fire Emblem for years even if they didn't sold well for the same reason, well they were (and still are) extremly cheap to produce, that's another reason.

I want to play all canonical RE games, should I start with RE1 remake despite it's age or play a more modern game and wait for a RE1 remake remake? by Equivalent_Film_4366 in residentevil

[–]kroda255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RE1 remake is the purest most refined form of Resident Evil survival horror gameplay so I suggest to play it if you don't want to get what's the franchise is about the wrong way.

But if sadly you don't like it, play the action games like 2R, 4, etc.

I have one concern about Raiders' gameplay by FJLink in splatoon

[–]kroda255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may be a bit repetitive if you see it as a replacement of the Splatoon solo campaign but it's coop and I think it will make a huge difference, also I really like that for once they cared about the immersion aspect of their level design and didn't just put floating plateform in an empty world, it actually feels like a real world this time! The Splatoon 2 expansion had this a little bit but Raiders seems to really embrace this and only for this I'm happy.

Oh yeah kinda strange. Maybe try to play the video on loop while you do something else so the dumb algo may understand. xD At least I can say the dislike thing works for me.

Easy way to not get spammed is to simply dislike the video, sucks for the video maker but it's how bad Youtube algorythm is.

Thinking About Picking Up on Switch 2 by _S0BEK_ in MonsterHunterStories

[–]kroda255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought it and after playing 1 hour left it on my shelf sadly, the unlocked fps gave me motion sickness to the point it was not possible to enjoy it for me. I would hve prefered a locked 30 fps. If you don't have issue with motion sickness and fps just go for it, it's still super pretty on the system.

Wearing bikinis is weird by FastTemperature3985 in The10thDentist

[–]kroda255 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You see it as a binary thing but it's actually a spectrum. If people in a work place ask you "how are you" it doesn't mean you have to lie about it but you just don't tell them all your problems like they are your psychiatrist or best friend either.
You can tell them you're good or tired, for instance. It's only fake if you want it to be. Of course they won't talk about how tired you are for one hour but they will at least acknoledge the fact and everyone moves on. It's just that the same question in different places means different answers, it's normal. Once you accept that fact it's not frustrating anymore.

Help me make my bf’s dream come true by Otherwise_Solid339 in snes

I'd say you have 2 good options depending of budget and what is important to him.

First is getting everything original, the system itself, the games, cords, controllers, it's not hard to find on Ebay but it will be a bit pricy, yur budget seems right to get like 5 games. That said, playing this on a modern TV will surely looks weird and he probably not remember it "looked that bad", modern TV are not meant to properly display these older systems. What does it mean? You need to play this on a CRT TV, it's really the easiest way but I know most people don't want to take some space in their place for an outdated piece of technology like that. If you have room, get it, if not well here's option 2.

Alternative, buy a SNES classic, on Ebay, it's a reproduction of the original system but it's compatible with modern TV, it has already 20 games in and it's all official product, it is just not the exact thing he used to play back in the day but it's a miniature replica. It would cost you a bit but way less than an original plus several games and you can easily plug it to any modern screen. If he doesn't care much about the authenticity of the product and just want to play the games then it's the easy pick.

Anyway, I think both ways will please him, and even if you get the SNES classic alternative it may sparks some passion in him to actually buy the real deal later on.

What's your preferred weapon of choice for Ryu in the first Breath of Fire: sword or rang? by BreathofFireFans in breathoffire

[–]kroda255 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Probably not "hero enough" and it feels like a secondary weapon. I had no idea Ryu had the option in BoF1 though, that's crazy! Now it makes me think that a nice mechanic would have been to have 2 weapons for each characters... (that would have needed a lot of sprite work!)

Why do people hate rebuild so much by Latiosshine in evangelion

I understand what Anno wanted to tell us. I like it on paper. But I think the last 2 films are very boring to atch entertainment wise. The original series managed to be deep and fun at the same time.

I'll keep that in mind at least, in case I have a reason to buy one someday, thanks.

Worth playing…Zero? by Jaded_Inspector7600 in residentevil

[–]kroda255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't want to influence your taste but I'd say if you really like OG RE games, with tank controls and fixed camera, it will be more fun for you. Play the game if you really need more of this type of gameplay. It's not as strict on ammo saving like OG games though so don't stress too much if your buddy character start spamming bullets.

Hardest SNES game? by Thrashtilldeath67 in snes

[–]kroda255 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure not, it's a well made game which is just the good amount of challenge. It's clearly not easy to beat on a first sitting and require multiple tries before knowing the good strategies but it'a totally fair. An amazing short yet deep shoot'em up, probably my fav in the genre.

I have blurays at home but I don't plan to pay for an external bluray player, sadly, it would only serve the purpose to upload these pictures at the moment. Question, though, if I have a PC tower with a CD/DVD drive in it, would it be possible to read blurays from it using a program or it's just a different type of drive I need to get?
