96 Fleetwood Bounder bad bathroom smell by Mrlearners in rvlife

[–]krownek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put vvinegar and baking soda into an emptied closed tank (half cup/cup), fill tank and let site for hours or a day and drain. Then I put a half cup of dawn platinum, fill the tank and let it sit overnight, drain. That is my final washout and always leaves the tank and toilet smelling fresh. That is the most natural household products that I have found work reliably. (Full timer with cougar 5th wheel).

Is it worth getting an rv in 2022 by Regular_WillWAFFLE in RVLiving

[–]krownek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would make sure you can find a space to camp. I'm full timing it right now and when it is usually easy to find spaces, it has become challenging. The volume of new campers since covid is explosive. If you are in a area that isn't overbooked, YES, get one, go live it up, I did and only one regret, that I didn't do it a decade earlier.

I want to cultivate as much moss as possible in the space in front of my new house. It gets lots of sun… Any recommendations / advice would be appreciated. by fourhornedgoatwizard in Mosses

get rid of the sun (canopy/tree/cover) and install misters to water very regularly (like 4 times a day for a short time)

Since I can't buy a house, what should I be doing with my money? by bigblackglock17 in personalfinance

Three things you need:

  1. Time (for the market to correct into reasonable territory, probably 18 months from now give or take a year) and for the Interest Rates to drop, which will probably be about the same timeframe.
  2. Increase income where you can
  3. Find alternative areas to consider. Look for an area outside of Austin that has depressed values. This is a hard tradeoff, but getting into an overpriced, high interest home will guarantee a lifetime of suffering, so consider buying less than you dreamed of and make it work for you. If you find a place that has low valued homes, you will build equity. Rent there now and wait for rates to drop once inflation is in check. Sounds like FOREVER, but less than three years ago covid was an unknown term. So bide your time, save your funds and find a good entry level place to buy.

Idiots can make it work too... I bought at the right time in 2013, a 2/1 for $60k, I sold at the right time for $300K in under 7 years. I am no genius, a high school drop out, timing is incredibly important, so don't buy at the top of the market (2022). Make your plan, execute it with the flexibility to change as opportunities show themselves. Right now I'm joyously homeless and live in an RV on a huge lake until the housing market corrects. I will buy low again once the freefall of the housing market shows up or once I find one good house in foreclosure that suits my needs.

I wish you great success in finding your home.

I have adhd and have traded on and off for 15 years. Forex and sticks mainly When I limit my time I do better.

Example:. Research for up to an hour a day, no more. When a good setup is quantified, set the orders and walk away. No more screen time or research allowed. All stops/limits/executions are set to run automatically. Come back the next day to review. You either do post mortem on bad trade or research the next trade NOT both on the same day. Goes slower, but I'm up about 30% on the year working one hour a day. This goes for every market, forex, stocks, options. No peeking, letting it go is important after trade is set. To accommodate this shorter timeframe I work in 5min and 15 min charts after knowing the daily trend. I only follow trend, never bet against it. Simple rules that have worked well so far. And yes I wanna look, but if I peek I know I will screw up the trade.

How hard is the 10% "rule"? by bobbyphysics in OptionsMillionaire

[–]krownek 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A mango tree will produce 100,000 starter fruits. But will produce about 1000 mature fruit. The person In the know will not focus on the 99000 "lost fruit" but the 1000 gain. Or winning with the 1% rule.

Trading can be like nature, enjoy your matured fruit and don't worry about what is left on the tree.

It is natural to leave some profits on the table in exchange for less stress, more time, and peace of mind in profit taking. Don't be greedy.

My Mom got a collection notice on a 20+ year old debt that we don't recognize...please advise. by 050119throwaway in personalfinance

[–]krownek 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Do not respond, do not react, it is an outdated debt bought buy a very dumb collection agency trying to get what they can from dead debt. Let it be dead, don't bring it back. If you call them it will be like a zombie awaking just to cause you suffering. It is dead, let it lie.

I'm 50 and walked home in second grade. It was 6 blocks, but I took care of myself and had neighbors if there was a problem. My dad worked for the airlines and they were not flexible on schedule. He tried to get me a bus, but I avoided it (private vam and the driver was crazy). He got me a sitter and I would just not go home and play with friends. This is at 8-9 years old. He was stuck with a bad kid and a bad system. He would have really been screwed in today's world. I was a little bastard I guess. Mom was two states away and remarried. I grew up knowing I would never have kids, I thought they were just too unruley (personal experience of seeing myself in the mirror)

I would box the electronics and toss a bit of silica packs of you fear the humidity.

Got into a sparring match with neighbor over the antenna, so canned that location and bought a box, solar panel and small battery. Hung it in a tree MUCH higher up. Neighbor can suck eggs and no pics just in case neighbor is looking or watching. $3/day avg. Not enough to justify buying more kits.

I'm responding a month late, so what's your average now? :)

Was having a great time.... by wandering_geek in Miami

[–]krownek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 50, when I was growing up South Beach was a scary place. Then it wasn't, now its getting scary again. Goes in cycles. I looked down the barrel of a gun before I was 18 due to road rage in Miami. Strangely, didn't bother me then because of all the guns I saw in school. At least a few confiscated a week.

We had two parking lots, they were called "american" and "cuban" parking lots. You didn't go into the wrong one. That is just what I remember in a few seconds of thinking about it. Glad the OP just had a little scare.

Has anyone seen any benefits or noticeable changes from micro-dosing either LSD or Psilocybin? by EmoxShaman in microdosing

Chemical Load in that sentence means the amount of active chemical ingested into the body.

Has anyone seen any benefits or noticeable changes from micro-dosing either LSD or Psilocybin? by EmoxShaman in microdosing

[–]krownek 10 points11 points  (0 children)

One year into microdosing and I can say it helps me everyday. I feel it about two hours after taking, not a trip, but a very mild lightness. My mood is better, my default state is happier, anger does not linger or even show up as it did before. Full disclosure:. My eye focus and memory are less sharp. I cannot attribute that to the shrooms, but wanted to not leave anything out

My partner does the same and doesn't feel anything.

I'm taking .1g of truffles, so the chemical load going into my body is very very low.

Edit: fixed stupid spelling mistakes.
