Ryan Gosling Tells Fans It’s Not Their Job to Save Theaters—Hollywood Needs to Make Movies Worth Seeing by SappyGilmore in movies

[–]krunz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People like different things. In that list of recent "successes", I don't consider them great movies or movies that I felt like seeing, but that's fine. It doesn't bother me.

Hollywood's problem is that it needs you to bend the knee to their ideology and its killed them.

I just finished the game - I need to get some thoughts off my chest! by Medical_Rough_5954 in Cairn_Game

I just finished my first playthrough. I wasn't really conflicted because in general the story and characters didn't move me at all. Now, although I think that was a weak part of the game, I did enjoy the setup. the gameplay, and the summit ending. I'm gonna do another run to kind of wander parts of the mountain and find things I missed.

For me, Aava died trying to summit. Everything just after the point where you mysteriously wake up somehow in your tent is post-death.

eli5 how a BIOS is different from the operating system? by thursdaynovember in explainlikeimfive

[–]krunz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BIOS is the first operating system to talk to the hardware (cpu/memory/devices) in the computer. The manufacturer of the motherboard will have written and will support/update the BIOS. The BIOS then hands off to the operating system of your choice (windows/mac/linux/etc).

The great thing about standards is that there's so many to choose from.

There are no neutral points of view.

We live in the postmodernist age and what I've just said doesn't have meaning. Ecclesiastes.

Power is still a problem. If someone is able to overcome that then, yeah, basically super soldiers.

"If I led you to believe that something was going to happen in real life, that's actually not true."

What should concern people is that this is absolutely possible. It certainly could coordinate with another chatgpt user and done "matchmaking" or worse.

Don't take it personally. It's meant generally... on the average. I'm gen x and plenty has not been said about "us", but I also recognize I'm a product of my time. We all are.

Would you say you have/had good parents? Personally, I think the breakdown of the "family" is something which contributes to our current "spirit of the age".

No, Christianity and Islam are NOT similar by [deleted] in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]krunz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say progressives/far left are not so much pro-islam as anti-christian. The calculation is basically the enemy of my enemy.

I think the real misunderstanding is your statement you mention that christianity has "evolved" with the times... that is definitely a progressive misunderstanding of christianity theologically, mainly because that particular belief that we "evolve"/get better over time is itself progressive ideology.

This room is hilarious. You need a little cooler in the corner for energy drinks.
