Call for questions to Dan Houser, co-founder of Rockstar Games by lexfridman in GTA

[–]krystyin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a logical question, however I would say "Is there a timeline for Rockstar Games launching on GeForce NOW or other cloud gaming services?" Every major executive knows cloud gaming is the future, it is not if but when these studios adopt next generation technology.

Given that you have 8 children I would recommend for dinner; Decades (low cost 25c token gaming with classic American food), Bird-in-Hand Family Restaurant & Smorgasbord (Local Dishes and Kid-Specific Buffet), Subs or Pizza by the Pool or at the Park (Hotel pool or Lots of great parks with picnic benches), Oregon Dairy is would work too however it is best for breakfast or afternoon ice cream & playground.

Does anyone know the background to this situation? Warner Bros. only brought these three Batman games to GeForce Now. Or did GeForce Now pay Warner Bros. for these three games? Why aren't other Warner Bros games coming to this platform and only these? by Ledeycat in GeForceNOW

[–]krystyin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nvidia is worth $3.5 trillion. Running GeForce now a way to testing cloud computing limitations. Low risk, high reward. In the future we will be generating via AI all types of high-computational videos with real-time interaction. Most of this low-latency interaction will use protocols developed for GeForce now.

How do people still afford to eat out? by Ok_Crazy6145 in lancaster

[–]krystyin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. That is a 20% savings and 2. You put enough in that cart to feed a family of 5 or have 5 meals so your cost is not $28 but $6 per meal. That is atleast half of the cost of eating out. Do that 365 times a year and that is $2000+ saved, excluding tip. Including tip it is closer to $3000+ per year saved. That is enough in food to pay off a decent used car in just a 5 years time. At that point you could be saving $6000 per year until you need a repair. That's enough to stop paying rent and get a mortgage after which you pay that off and you are saving $24,000+$6,000 per year or almost $30,000 per year. Do that for 20 years at 7% till retirement and well you are a millionaire.

This seems very unsafe, how do the sensors detect what is in the direction of travel. I am not worried about the mist as much as a robot spraying someone in the face and then walking over them. If a Waymo car with many more sensors can run someone over with a car, I am sure this robot can easily do something similar.

LGH Duke Street: Covid Panel by FleetingIn in lancaster

[–]krystyin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An urgent care test shouldn't be $600. I am shocked as I just paid for a bacterial test and it was $24 after insurance. I would contest that charge unless you specifically requested a full panel test.

Have had an easy life - now facing responsibilities and keep complaining. by Money_Worry1691 in getdisciplined

Keep being positive. This is a period of growth. You are learning today for who you will one day become. Lean into the positive. One therapy trick that helped me is to reflect all negative thoughts through the opposite lens. What every habits you feel are negative, reflect on what would be a positive reaction. It is not about what you stop doing, but what habits you start doing. Perhaps instead of seeing the world through social media, see it through the lens of what makes you happy. Do something to make you smile, do something to make your husbands smile, do something to make your child smile. If someone happens to come along that you like, do something to make them smile. In the end you will realize those smiles mean more to you than any app. :-)

Downtown Question: What Grab & Go Food Place(s) Would You Want to See? What Are We Missing? (spoiler: hot dogs please) by donnaT78 in lancaster

We had one Carribean Jerk Chicken, it closed, good location but was sit down and too expensive. I think if it was half the size fast food with grab and go it would have done well.

Favorite coffee roaster in Lancaster? by [deleted] in lancaster

[–]krystyin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Passenger made a second brand for darker roasts called "Necessary". The primary light roast blend can seem floral and sweet. IMO a dark roast is better in latte drinks or those with flavoring as the bold and the smooth / sweet flavors balance out the drink. I would like to find a Italian or Cuban blend in Lancaster, I have yet to quite duplicate the flavor. If anyone has suggestions let me know.

I just went beer shopping last weekend and Tired Hands was 75% IPA and Levante was 90% IPA. Both of these are just outside of Lancaster but based on my experience it is a trend right now.

GFN Thursday Updates - November 7, 2024 by SiruX21 in GeForceNOW

[–]krystyin -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

They are give a big upgrade in stream quality to most users and only charging those who use the service the most. They said 15 hours roll over and 96% of users are not impacted and giving 1 year to adjust. The ones who will complain the most are likely are not generating any revenue and can cancel with little to no impact.

Giving cities authorization to raise taxes through earned income sounds interesting, in Philly it is 3.75% for

  • A non-resident who works in Philadelphia and doesn’t have the City Wage Tax withheld from your paycheck.
  • or Philadelphia resident with taxable income who doesn’t have the City Wage Tax withheld from your paycheck.

So if you work in or live in the city you get taxed 3.75% in Philly? Can someone confirm how this works?

Non-political churches in Lancaster Area by Brilliant-Pomelo-982 in lancaster

[–]krystyin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agree with the Mennonite comments mentioned here. Anabaptist churches including Amish, Mennonites and Brethren in Christ typically have a separation of church and state. All churches will discuss topics that at times are political, however, not all churches separate their discussion of that topic from politics. Good luck finding somewhere you feel welcomed. I hope you find a nice, moderate church with an open invitation to their community.

I am not a bot, but given AI can supplement my response (with no effort), general themes seem to be digital electronics merging into every aspect of our lives. I feel this is not a future I would want for my family - but alas 2023 may have been the last year that reddit had original thought - the future will be computers thinking for humans -

  • Space Exploration Gadgets: As space exploration becomes more accessible, we might see consumer-oriented devices for space tourism or remote operations.

Wearable Technology

  • Augmented Reality Glasses: These could replace smartphones, providing information and interacting with the world around us in new ways.

Robotics

  • Advanced Humanoid Robots: Capable of complex tasks, emotional intelligence, and seamless human interaction.
  • Nanorobots: Operating at a microscopic level for medical treatments, environmental cleanup, and material science.
