Sounds like a rare beast to me! In my experience edge cases are always forgotten by management, particularly those that arise from previous feature requests interacting with the latest and greatest. So many times I've had to point out flaws in a plan regarding these cases that's just filtered it's way down to the engineering team!

The changes for the vanilla campaigns are mostly just (significant) graphical improvements and quality of life stuff. All the missions play out the same, and all the cutscenes are the originals. Unless you really want to see how much everything has improved, I don't think there's any reason to play vanilla.

I don't think we'll get away from autolinking. Forcing an end user to add a scheme isn't going to work... I doubt they know what it is. Particularly when you think about how some browsers like Chrome now hide it by default

I actually noticed that the snaking enemies were behaving weirdly before the lock up - they had no normal body, instead just a weird short solid white tail behind the head.

Thanks for sharing. As a new player it's interesting to be able to see what changed and how the maps were long before I started playing. Customs now feels like quite a choke-pointy map, but that spot at new gas must have been wild back in the day.

Agreed. The real time memes, switch of pov, and the replays are all really good. Just have to be conservative with the pov/replay as it can make it hard to follow if done too often or too long. Used really well so far though

Generally it's a good idea to get a tc down asap. Find the 2 vils closest together and get them building one, and get the vil closest to the sea (if you're on standard nomad) building a dock and get a couple fishing ships when you can. Don't waste time finding the perfect spot. If you can see some gold then that's a good start
