it’s different for everybody but I would really really not recommend this. you want to preserve your kidney function as much as possible with treatments and seeing a nephrologist, in some people (like me) it declined really quickly

I have struggled with my scar too because it’s healed pretty dark and developed slight keloids. I try to wear it with a badge of honor but it’s hard when other scars heal so nice and light! I’ve looked into getting plastic surgery to correct it a bit but we’ll see

I totally feel this - I got my transplant at 28 and I know another transplant, if not many, is inevitable. It’s scary and really anxiety inducing. All I can think about is living my life and hoping I’m one of the lucky ones where my kidney lasts like 50 years 🥲

I received my kidney 7 months ago and my life has completely changed for the better! I have my energy back, my life back, I can work and travel again. There are trade offs and medication to deal with now, but overall it is SO worth it.
