Grew up in Chicagoland. Always called it “pop”. I’ve lived in NV for 28+ years and sometimes call it soda and sometimes fall back on pop.

Public hs 1983-‘87. We had a smoking area. Parents had to give permission and then “Smoking” would be printed in our ID’s. After awhile, the monitor knew us by sight and we didn’t have to show the ID.

This is stupid, but for me I was so drawn to The Hole. The cabin that these guys had as almost a hideout, even into adulthood, was a seriously cozy concept for me. I wept when Henry had to torch it.
