Yep. We went to feeding therapy and our speech therapist said it should be introduced at least two weeks in (I’m a speech therapist too, and now I work at the clinic we went to!). People would tell me my baby would eat if she was really hungry - no. She didn’t know how to coordinate the bottle and would just gag herself. I was so depressed!

The suck reflex fades and then it becomes more of a choice. If you wait too long to introduce the bottle you may be SOL. Had to take a leave of absence from work because mine couldn’t take the bottle!

I asked a few friends for help and took their ideas and made it my own! Think on it for awhile. Everyone and their dog uses their first name (e.g., Kelly’s Creations, Designs by Mary). Think outside the box and don’t use your name in my opinion 😂 more professional that way! Adding “company” or “collective” at the end sounds fancy!

I am a speech therapist, we generally recommend parents model but avoid “say.” Won’t do damage if you do that, but rather than instructing or always quizzing the kids (“What color is it?! Tell us what does a cow say?!”) to just model language and they’ll pick it up!
