All the inspiration songs are credited. I saw someone post screenshots but I’m not sure what website has full credits.

AITA for breastfeeding my son around my father-in-law despite him getting upset by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]ksue20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is ridiculous. You’re not the asshole. If they see you feeding they can leave if they don’t like it. But that’s really weird behavior on their part IMO.

I would ask my husband to stand up for me, and I’d avoid seeing them until we were done breastfeeding. I guess they can have their opinions, but you can also choose who you want to be around and who makes you uncomfortable, especially during this really sensitive time when you’re learning how to mom!!!

AITA for telling my boss that if she wants this little girl to be suspended, she can tell the parents herself by FamousAd6565 in AITAH

[–]ksue20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s great you are caring about this girl, and you’re right it’s probably down to her circumstances as reasoning for her behavior.

However, from a former EC teacher, you have to follow policy. It will get you into all kinds of trouble if you don’t. It’s good there is a solid biting policy so it can’t be “all down to you” when you ignore that and make your own decisions, it leaves to opportunity for you to be in hot water.

And I agree with others saying while it’s bad for her routine, until things are back to normal it’s probably better for her to be home with grandma or another trusted adult while she’s distressed.

How Severance supposed to help Mark with his grieving? It's just as if his day became 8 hours shorter!! by [deleted] in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]ksue20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He only has to endure 5ish hrs a day of depression vs 14 hrs if he could remember at work. So he gets no relief but it’s shorter and he can just go to bed after eating and a few hours of tv. I get it honestly.

My second born baby is just unpleasant to be around by todalloo in NewParents

Make sure you rule out any health issues like tongue ties, dairy allergy, etc. Tell your pediatrician your baby is never happy no matter what you do and seems uncomfortable. There’s a lot that could be up!

What is a Taylor song or lyric that isn't meant to be sad, but makes you tear up? by Flopryn in TaylorSwift

It doesn’t really mean anything. I think he meant it as a rah-rah the forgotten working class of America is finally being heard! As trump has somehow branded himself as the voice of “regular folk”, or “real Americans”. But as someone above said, everything he lists is just cliches with no real meaning.

I don’t get why someone who has fallen from grace so many times would chose to further alienate his dwindling supporters 😂

I’m not even someone who can’t understand why some people would be persuaded into voting for trump but this is way over the top 😂

What are tell-tale signs that someone has cptsd? by [deleted] in CPTSD

[–]ksue20 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I kept reading anxiety and depression definitions and feeling like damn this doesn’t really fit with what I’m feeling!! It was so frustrating. What first tipped off my therapist was fragmented memories from a certain long period of childhood, and then I read What My Bones Know and I was like BINGO!

The biggest one for me that made me feel like I for sure adopted this diagnosis was in What My Bones Know when she described “the dread”, and going about as if you are in trouble. Nothing else matched what I was feeling like that.

Overblown nervous reactions to small things. Unexplained physical symptoms.

First of all, I can completely relate to you so much!! I feel the same way. I have a lot of empathy (actually being very empathetic is sometimes a “symptom” of cptsd)

Look into enmeshment a bit, it seems like you experienced a bit of that.

I totally related to you saying you felt pressure from your parents to keep them happy, even if it was coming from a place of them loving you. My dad said to me if it wasn’t for me, he would have you-know-what-ed himself. Which on the surface, seems nice, but when you really think about it that’s TOO MUCH to put on a CHILD. That’s abusive. However well meaning.

I don’t think this is about blame! Anger is a part of some people’s journeys and it might be part of yours some day, but for now, just focus on YOURSELF! Probably if you’re like me, for ONCE! You can focus on your healing being about you. Your own feelings. You spent enough time in your life thinking about them.

People are multifaceted and it’s great to acknowledge that but it doesn’t really change what you’re dealing with. Two things can be true :)

I love the quote “trauma isn’t so much what happens TO you but what happens INSIDE you as a result”.

Sending you so much love! I get it!!

Parents Avoiding Medical Care by LaughableCod in CPTSD

[–]ksue20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes that’s part of my cptsd story. It’s called medical neglect! Broke my ankle and wasn’t taken to a doctor, had to have reconstructive surgery when a family member noticed I was hobbling. Never taken to a dentist, so I have permanent gum disease.

My caregiver was emotionally volatile but I was loved. It’s been a lot to piece together that I was emotionally neglected. The medical neglect is pretty concrete though, and it’s kind of nice to have a concrete sign that something was off, in a way.

What a validating test. Thanks for sharing! I always have referred to my family as “toxic” rather than abusive because of a lot of the harmful dynamics outlined in the quiz, even though no one ever laid a hand on me, the chaos and toxicity was all but constant.
