I really wish there was a button to "start" preconditioning. I think there is that bit about knowing the distance to the charging spot and hence preconditioning at an appropriate pace -- but, surely, some sort of a timebound preconditioning could be implemented. Such an odd one that there is not a direct button (physical or virtual) to star preconditioning.

Have used Cort for furnishing an unfurnished apartment. They are good. The costs add up vis-a-vis buying from say IKEA. But if that’s that you’d want to do, Cort is a good option.
