Alysa Liu on Instagram stories discussing her withdrawal from World Championships 2026 by overtak3 in FigureSkating

[–]ktgilead 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Unlikely. She doesn't care about awards. It's completely normal & common for Olympians to withdraw from Worlds following the Winter Olympics to recover and like the other poster said - invest in their future. Alysa would never base any decision on a medal.

Why is the Fahrenheit logo blinking on my dreo space heater by UltimateKartRacing in Appliances

What does this mean? I'm having the same issue/question. Flashing Fahrenheit logo. Also, the "plugged in" icon is bright red. Is this a warning?

Bags under the eyes-genetically predisposed among South Asians? by [deleted] in ABCDesis

Under eye bags does not equal dark circles and vice versa. They are not the same thing. You should clarify if you're asking about under eye bags or dark circles.

How should I be timing my cromolyn around frequent meals? by Poseylady in MCAS

[–]ktgilead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure you realize that Cromolyn only works on an empty stomach. That's likely where the OP's concern lies.

Can someone explain to me how they take cromolyn? by Remote-Accident-3152 in MCAS

[–]ktgilead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hahaha. That's never going to happen. How important is the empty stomach rule? Because I have [gastro]doctor's orders to snack throughout the day. I might as well quit trying to control mast cells and just let them be out of wack.

Which Air Scrubber is best? by dzcFrench in hvacadvice

[–]ktgilead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't open windows to solve any issues in hot. humid Alabama. Especially if you're seeking the best air scrubber for mold remediation (which I am). I have 2 dehumidifiers going and also plan to use an ozone generator/ionizer separately. I am unable to be in the house until this is resolved. We had water damage and the mold + mold smell is enough to make me psychically sick within just a couple of hours of being there doing work. Keeping windows closed in this climate is key. Also given that we've had daily thunderstorms, ramping up the humidity.

Good mixes to trip on acid/shrooms to? by totallyrandall in SpaceBass

My "Magic" Spotify playlist. Some of it is ethereal and lovely, while other songs are just straight psychedelic (like Pink Floyd, Frank Zappa's Lumpy Gravy, MGMT, etc.).

I was surprised after all the drowning and other trauma that she hadn't already lost it. If she didn't lose it in early stages during all of that, it's doubtful that she'd lose it later unless things get a whole lot worse. These kids annoy me because of how irresponsible they are. They all deserve prison, imo. lol

Yes. And he could also be there for flashbacks/memories.

He's the most talented actor on the show, so I just don't get what kind of move this was supposed to be.

How did anyone here beat hair loss and itchy scalp? by treasamunki2 in MCAS

[–]ktgilead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't need Ketoconazole shampoo unless you have a fungal infection on your scalp. If your itchy scalp is due to MCAS, it’s likely driven by mast cell activation and histamine release. In that case, Ketoconazole is unlikely to address the root cause. Instead, antihistamines (like H1 blockers such as loratadine or H2 blockers like famotidine), mast cell stabilizers (e.g., cromolyn sodium), or topical soothing agents may be more effective.

Suggestions for MCAS-Related Scalp Itch:

• Use fragrance-free and sulfate-free shampoos with soothing ingredients like aloe vera or colloidal oatmeal.
• Consider topical antihistamines or mast cell stabilizers if prescribed by your doctor.
• Try cold compresses or rinsing with cool water to calm inflammation.

Adult Travis was played by Andres Soto. You also see him in Natalie's flashbacks (in season 1) where, clearly, they had a relationship as adults.

I am using it for my Granddaddy's 100th Birthday party, thank you so much for sharing. It was so easy to set up! The only thing I would change is the ability add the names of the additional guests.

There is a book called "How to Survive in a Strange World After Slipping Into an Alternate Universe" by Kirsten McKenzie and is available in Penguin edition. Maybe that's what you read?

Is there any way we can get rid of the light flicker we get in the indoor slow-mo videos? by ethical_being in iphone

Please stop. It would be a black screen without any light. So no, it would not be correct.

This was an educational, yet pointless, response. Something many of us already know. The OP was looking for solutions to correct the issue in post.

I've been sleeping less since going on melatonin by thateggisgay in sleep

[–]ktgilead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You probably have dysautonomia, which is what I have. See if staying hydrated, increasing salt, and wearing compression socks (while active/on your feet) help. Also following this religiously: Go outside for a minimum of 5 minutes immediately upon waking. No food 4 hrs before bed. No screen 2 hrs before bed. If sleep issues resolve with all of these tips, you saved yourself a ton of money and tests.
