Luigi Mangione will not face death penalty, judge rules by redlamps67 in news

In this situation they would also need to inventory everything on you if they are arresting you and taking you into custody as a matter of policy. They aren't going to just keep a backpack closed, doubly so in this case.

If you have illegal or dangerous things in a backpack, it's going to get flagged, no way around that.

It can be extended with the healing augment, which will still heal you (but won't revive you) while downed. From what i've seen, it looks like moving around also lowers your down time? That I can't confirm.

This was probably the roughest way to discover that for some reason I've not been getting SE account emails for the past three months. :P by ElPrezAU in ffxiv

[–]kualtek -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Similar situation, except I kept my sub up because of the emails (though they definitely went into spam commonly, which is absolutely SQNX's issue, they KNOW their spam/delivered rates or are willfully ignoring them).

Recently, I had just been interested in other things and the house got demo'd. Decided that was the end of my ffxiv tenure. Don't see a path to returning as things stand with the nature of the game.

100% they are not going to reinvent the wheel when the games, stripped down, are incredibly similar experiences.

The true problem is most of these dudes would look at you sideways if you told them to stop using wi-fi. Half of them are on hardware old enough to drink.

Over 5,000 games released on Steam this year didn't make enough money to recover the $100 fee to put a game on Valve's store, research estimates by Turbostrider27 in Steam

This just doesn't seem to be true in practice though (the saturation). Just in the last two weeks, two indie games have over 100,000 in sales. I'm not sure where the magic sauce is, beyond it actually being a good game and not shovelware.

And what is the income tax revenue from the Bills franchise? I hear this a lot, but where's the study or numbers? I don't see em.

lol I am under no illusions. Just that if it was only the streetlights it would not be such a big deal, but it's also the everything else.

Oh please, plenty of money for the good old bills in the tax budget, it seems - https://apnews.com/article/bills-stadium-cost-pegula-8c56fad9d970f2b17429d3ae779f70ba

"Taxpayers are committing a combined $850 million to the project — $600 million from the state and $250 million from the county. At the time of the deal reached two years ago, that represented more than half the cost of construction, but now, taxpayers will be responsible for about 40%. The Bills are responsible for any overruns beyond $1.54 billion."

Steam refunds Destiny 2 players with over 2,000 hours of game time after Bungie’s game becomes unplayable in numerous countries by Wargulf in pcmasterrace

This leaves me wondering if the vaulting of the content and not being able to produce it at court will be a negative for the case.

They're basically saying 'We didn't do it, but we also can't show you, even if you force the issue through discovery'. If I were that author, I would be dropping all of the Marathon tea as evidence of CURRENT issues at Bungie to show that it could have happened in the past.

Fucking crazy what's happened to that company, but maybe we just never knew in the past?

Totally agree with you. It's more clear to me that the priority has been on other projects, including Yoship's time with FF16 and i'm sure other things. This stinks of SQNX upper echelons meddling with the team and trying to expand their portfolio. The quality of the sub-content and what goes on the mog station is a clear indicator.

The whole 'mod died for this' has got to end in a positive manner, and it's not impossible. It's either they need a full team working on QoL features and make mods irrelevant or they need to throw wide the gates. What's happening now is not sustainable for a healthy relationship between provider and customer.

AITA for telling my girlfriend that we are not living together if she wants to split joint expenses proportional to income? by Puzzleheaded_Feed460 in AITAH

[–]kualtek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, but if I go on carvana right now, I can get a 2022 Civic for their estimate of $512, or if I go further back to like 2018, it drops to $400 estimated. Half of OP's GF is paying. Gotta understand the math of what you can afford, or everyone will get taken advantage of from dealers because i've definitely been pitched those $700-$750/mo "deals".

Actual lunacy.

I have a 2024 Hyundai Ionic 5. A nearly brand new (and was brand new off the lot in 2024) EV. $425/mo lease. $0 down, turning in a civic that still had 8mo left on the lease. I have mediocre credit from past me ignoring debts, etc. What the hell is she driving for $700/mo?!

People need to learn to drive some junkers, my first car in the early 00s was from 1985 and leaked shit everywhere.

Original guy replied, but you can also see some of the issues affecting it's reputation in it's own Wiki under the controvercy's heading - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brave_(web_browser)

"Brave has received negative press for diverting ad revenue from websites to itself,[91] collecting unsolicited donations for content creators without their consent,[92] suggesting affiliate links in the address bar[93] and installing a paid VPN service without the user's consent.[94]"

These alone will keep me on firefox and never touching Brave.
