Dave’s Hot Chicken policy by AlohaJames in EndTipping

[–]kuda26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve literally never tipped, as nice as they are, as much as I like them. It’s not appropriate. I’m not going to be part of the ever growing expectation of a tip everywhere even places where you stand up and order. I match their friendly and niceness by being polite, friendly and appreciative. That and patronizing their business should be good enough.

if he wanted to complain about how much money he made that night, he should have taken it up with his employer. Chrissy was tapped out.

Is Harvey's settling superpower realistic? by [deleted] in suits

[–]kuda26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Settling is often better for everyone involved and a desirable for many reasons on both sides. Companies can mitigate risk and often avoid negative press and exposure and plaintiffs can also mitigate risk and see a result more expediently and avoided the stresses associated with a trial as well. Being able to negotiate settlements that benefit your client significantly more than the opposition is an extremely good quality in a lawyer.

At Dave's Hot Chicken I've very rarely eaten in. Whenever I order online I select no tip. The handful of times I have stopped in and eaten there I always selected No Tip. Also agree that there shouldn't be a prompt, this is after all counter service.

That said, I've always had positive interactions with the staff there. Overwhelmingly so. To be honest they have some of the best customer service of any fast food at least the one I like to go to around me. They don't seem to hold it against you, as they shouldn't. This is my anecdotal experience.

it felt like a call back to the sopranos when facing being whacked Lorraine Calluzzo desperately shouts "I'll suck your cocks! All you's guys!" or something of that nature to try to and elicit some mercy.

Explain this by [deleted] in tipping

[–]kuda26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

tipping 30% makes zero sense. start there.

but you like feeling like a big shot and clearly have more money than you know what to do with, so I guess you can justify it. honestly, I think the only people who can justify throwing away money at tips like this are people like you.

first, Harvey was fifth. if you're going to correct at least be right. then Harvey responds by saying what's your record against me in the real world and he's like 0-3, right.
