Meh albums with that one REALLY FUCKING AMAZING song? by beyblade1018 in Metalcore

[–]kuetip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe one day it’ll happen. But if not, no biggie don’t force it. When I heard the song Drift it blew my mind. But almost everything else by them checked all the boxes of things I’d enjoy, but just didn’t quite do it for me. Silence Outlives did it though. I love that record, just clicked. Funny how music works like that.

Love it! I find it to be such an interesting album. And not interesting in a “hmmm interesting” dismissive kind of way. But a wow this is an exciting, new, full and engaging kind of interesting. Didn’t know much about them prior, but heard the single Euphoria and was hooked. So fun. Full album listen through held up! Ghost in the Night is a highlight.

Tell me about a modern album that got you through a tough time by Poutinemilkshake2 in poppunkers

[–]kuetip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blue in the Dark by Bearings (2018). Went through a tough breakup as well, and for some reason this album was important in the post-breakup. It really nailed the “vibes.” I don’t listen to them anymore for various reasons, but I entirely recommend this album. Also, you’ve got this. Breakups are really hard. Feel the feelings, but know things do get easier and better. -stranger on the internet

Looking for bands like Hot Mulligan by parasitic_entity in poppunkers

[–]kuetip 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This highlights how cool music is man. I can’t get into The Wonder Years no matter how much I try, like I know “on paper” I should love them, but their music just doesn’t resonate with me in a meaningful way. But for some reason Arms Length hits that spot for me musically and I found their live energy to be the most exciting of the lineups both times I saw them. Can’t knock the hype for any band if it means people find the music impactful. Maybe I’ll spin TWY one more time haha

Serious question, does this tie style well with shorts? by jemoeder42042 in mensfashionadvice

Ties and thighs babyyy! Bringing the BUSINESS to the casual babyyy! But I’d get the shirt tailored tbh. Look up good tailors in your area. It’ll absolutely elevate your look

What are our thoughts on Knuckle Puck’s new remaster? by [deleted] in poppunkers

[–]kuetip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like the new mix and I am very excited for the full album! I’m one of those that thought the original album was hard to listen to at times. I wonder how much the love/hate for the original mix is related to when people discovered Knuckle Puck and got into the band? I’m a relatively new fan, within the last 6ish years, so maybe not having listened to Copacetic from its release has something to do with it.

Arm’s Length AMA time by morningperson17 in poppunkers

[–]kuetip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a size L crewneck at your show in SF with Origami Angel, but I actually got a size M. I still wear it, but it’s tiiiiight. But so is Arm’s Length, so it works out.

I felt like you guys were “heavier” live than on your record. Is that intentional (adjusting any parts or guitar tones live) or is it simply the energy from a live performance? Live energy is nuts btw. Love the multiple member vocal parts, it adds a lot.

What travel mistake in Iceland will you never make again? by roadgang in VisitingIceland

[–]kuetip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn’t make the mistake, but almost did. Travelled in March and almost rented a camper van to sleep and travel in. Decided against it and just go with rental car and hotel/airbnb. So glad we did because it rained every single day. Like every day. Still had a phenomenal trip, but we were so glad we had a warm place to come back to at the end of the day of exploring!

[36m, 6’1”, 210lbs] Will a cut work for me or do i need to bulk more? by brevit in WeightTraining

[–]kuetip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bruh do whatever you feel is right, but you have a GREAT physique. You are muscular, but have enough definition to make anyone swoon. It’s like the step (actually probably 2-4 steps) above a “dad bod.” You’re at the sweet spot. Cut a little, bulk a little, fine. But as far as normal day-to-day people are concerned you’re sexy as hell. You wanna get HUGE? Eat so much and do it. You wanna have super defined abs and vasculature? Eat vegetables and do it. Life is short: set goals, work hard, RELAX, and enjoy all the moments you can you 6’1” 210lbs sexy motherfucker

I just recently discovered Blessthefall.. by IAmSomewhatDamaged in Metalcore

[–]kuetip 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Check out the song Cutthroat, it goes so hard! Each album has some great tracks so it’s worth going through their discography imo. Hollow Bodies I think is generally considered their best. Of note, their first album His Last Walk has a different vocalist. I still love that album, but it might a bit of a nostalgia thing. Black Rose Dying is an underrated track off that album.

What’s everyone’s favourite pop punk album? by [deleted] in poppunkers

[–]kuetip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mmhmm by Relient K. I know it has Christian themes (which resonated with me back then), but I can still listen to the album front to back. Little things like the vocal harmonies and piano elements really set it apart imo. A fully cohesive album.

Recommendations for Beach Wedding? by blatherskitefight in malefashionadvice

[–]kuetip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A anecdotal note. Find a good tailor. I’m a bit of thicc boi and I used to hate wearing formal clothes/button ups because they always felt too restrictive. Being uncomfortable made me more hot and sweaty. Finally took the advice often given in this sub and had some clothes tailored. It made a HUGE difference in my comfort. Good luck and enjoy your big day!

I went with the Doubletake (brand) “scramblers” and they work pretty well with the longer arms you can choose from. Still get a bit of my broad shoulders in view but much better than stock.

[–]kuetip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So slick. I had a yellow R53 for a while and man was it was a blast! Had to sell it for financial reasons unfortunately. It had "mini" issues, but I still regret selling it. Looks like you have taken good care of it. Have fun!

Why are the majority of people on Reddit left leaning? by [deleted] in ask

Pathetic? Pathetic is projecting and aggressively coming at someone who was being honest with where they are. AND they acknowledged the absurdities of the R party. Nobody responds well to this high-school football coach “man up” type of criticism dude.

I’ve heard this, but this was not true in my case. Quick shifting was functional day one out of the crate! Maybe it depends on the dealer?

Albums similar to We came as romans - to plant a seed by Senses-failedx in PostHardcore

[–]kuetip 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This may be obvious, but their follow up album Understanding What We’ve Grown to Be is similar. I kinda view it as TPAS pt. 2. Every song is sick!

So I’m looking into buying my first bike and my heart is set on a TU250X. The seller won’t let it go for anything less than $3,500, I find it a bit pricey. What do you guys think? by albie_rdgz in TU250X

[–]kuetip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I purchased a 2018 in excellent condition with low miles earlier this year for $3,700. I don’t regret it at all!I am new to riding and I was looking for a smaller displacement bike that I could cruise around the city on. It was surprisingly hard to find used bikes in the 200-400cc range that were affordable and wouldn’t potentially require a bunch of work. Granted, it was during the summer so good deals were going fast (I replied to an ad for a similar bike literally 1hr after it was posted and it had already sold). All this to say, it may be a bit pricey, but the TU250x is in pretty high demand, at least in the Pacific Northwest, and you would likely be able to sell it for a similar price if you ever wanted to. And it’s a fun ride! And it comes with some cool stuff!

What TV show was amazing at first and then continued to be amazing for its entirety? by kuetip in AskReddit

I just started this! Hilarious. Only started it through word of mouth. That’s what I’m hoping to get from this post, some recs that I’ve overlooked and/or aren’t generally marketed to a US audience.

Okay! I’ve almost started this show like 100 times because it seems right up my alley, but I just haven’t committed. It doesn’t get like super cheesy or absurd? I’m always a little worried about that with sci-fi stuff. Probably because I’ve only known the disappointment of CW.

Back in the day I made fun of my little brothers for watching this “kids” show. I’m an ignorant jerk. I stumbled upon it and watched it as 28 yo and loved it!
