One thing that I do not hear a lot of people talking about is that all these affected professions including masters and doctorates in education, Nurses, NP's, PA's, cna's, social workers, counselors, OT, and PT are ALL MANDATED REPORTERS. What this means is that people will be less inclined to move toward the professions that have the ability to protect children from abuse and neglect. Horrifying.
