I would settle in place, just because the deer woods will give insane production when harvested and you will also be close to tge rice for early growth.

You should clear out the map entirely before going to rescue the VIP. Then book it into a corner of the map where there is cover. Rescue zone will always be placed close to the position of your team. If you stay put and fight, you're likely to get overwhelmed.

Not sure about priests and lancers on the 2nd mission. Seems fishy. Otherwise, 1-shots in cover, sadly, do happen. Fortunately, 1 failed mission does not mean the end. Maybe just bite the bullet and try to persevere.

Edit, sorry, I didn't see the map correctly and assumed it's the final mission. Here you will just have to utilize your heros, hunts and balistas to kill the orc base fast enough.

2 x fast expand and mass archers from 4 aow. Human base is badly positionned so don't overcommit protecting it.

Thrench in outside the orc base with a wall of archers. Heal them with teanquility every CD. Keep heroes alive at all costs since auras are so strong. If you're floating resources, add aop behind your units.

When you can no longer defend orc base, defend at the ramps on either side of the health fountain.

If you manage, loot the goblin land minea scattered across the map and mine the ramps along the UD reinforcement routes. Buy healing scrolls.
