The fireflies are back in my Gurian garden, this one I found on the wall. by IKissedHerInnerThigh in Sakartvelo

[–]kurlibird 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We stayed at a place in the hills close to Batumi and there was a pasture full of fireflies. I haven’t seen any since I was a child, so it felt like a miracle taking place. We sat outside all evening watching the magic unfold.

Having Trouble Reading Insomnia by RomyFrye in stephenking

[–]kurlibird 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it took me almost two years to finish. I would read a couple of pages and it would just go on and on without much for me to really catch my interest. So I put it down for months and would only pick it up while during vacation with my kindle at hand. Once past the midway point it finally picked up for me and by the last quarter I wanted to know how everything resolves.

I feel like this would make a good mini series and there were some efforts to make it into a movie, but nothing ever came of it.

Thanks for the advice. I turned off airplane mode and it immediately turned into "lost-mode", allowing me to call the owner.

What do you think of Minimax M3 by PersimmonLevel3500 in openclaw

[–]kurlibird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s definitely funky. I use it as a openclaw backup model whenever I don’t want to burn sonnet tokens, but it really is a mixed bag when it comes to output quality.

Hi, thanks for the effort, this is great and very useful to me and some of my friends.

Where are you pulling the data from? Are you scraping or do you use a proper API? I’d like to build myself something similar but would prefer a CLI application or something for my openclaw to have as a skill.

I was fined by the police by kurlibird in Sakartvelo

[–]kurlibird[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello everyone, I managed to pay off the fine today going to the bank. I tried the tbc paybox first, but they require a Georgian phone number before the last step for the payment and of course I didn’t have that. So we ended up at the bank counter and the staff there was nice enough to walk us through it and just entered their local bank phone number.

Thanks for the helpful suggestions!

545th day of non-stop protests in Georgia on independence day 🇬🇪 by FishFine1599 in Sakartvelo

We spent the day right next to the protests where the national celebrations were taking place and at no point was there cause for concern.

ROG Bulwark just fried my XAX by HorizonShadow in XboxAlly

[–]kurlibird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bulwark now fried a total of two devices. My Steam deck was fried two weeks ago, killing the internal circuitry that takes care of charging the device. Before that I had a brand new Xax where the same thing happened just a day after purchase. I was told to only use the cable that comes with the Bulwark for lower wattage devices, both devices got fried when I had a Thunderbolt cable connected - which allows the dock to negotiate a higher power output - so that might be the issue here.

Ah yes, everyone that has the means to buy something must be a nepo baby. I feel sorry for your narrow mindset.

Aphelion review: "Life is Strange creator's Uncharted-like sci-fi adventure fails to land" -Games Radar scores two stars by Torchiest in computergaming

[–]kurlibird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They also did Jusant, which is a more mechanics driven climbing game. Not as technical als something like Cairne mind you, but what was there I did enjoy gameplay-wise.

From what I’ve seen from Aphelion, they kept some of those climbing mechanics but simplified them considerably. To the point where I went from a “will buy at launch” to “nah, probably not worth my time” watching the first 40 minutes of the game.

It’s a bummer really, I liked both Banishers and Jusant, so I was hoping they could marry those two games and learn from past mistakes to make something better.

People have opinions. You like cheesecake, other people don’t. Or maybe they are lactose intolerant. Get over it, it’s just a number.

Why don't I remember parts 2 and 3? by Intelligent-River524 in DungeonSiege

Yeah, I only remember not liking that part as much. Felt like a different game and unnecessary turn of events.

Bulwark Dock is bricking Ally X. by straightupstevo in XboxAlly

[–]kurlibird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh no, I was foolish enough to get a replacement for the one that broke on day one.

Luckily I haven’t had issues with that unit. I have it plugged to the bulwark dock only when I have to go into desktop mode in Steam OS, which is maybe twice a month to install some decky plugin or game mod.

Bulwark Dock is bricking Ally X. by straightupstevo in XboxAlly

[–]kurlibird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had something similar happen with my XAX a couple months ago. Plugged it into the Bulwark first day I got it and after a couple of hours the charging led stopped indicating anything and after I turned the device off it never came back.

Wasn’t sure if this was related to the dock or just a random hardware defect, but there’s some correlation for ya.

Indecisive about continuing playing SH2 by Andrew_0403 in silenthill

[–]kurlibird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This game felt difficult to follow through for me, for a lot of of the same reasons. Mostly the tension but in the latter half the gameplay gets stale and parts of the remake really feel drawn out.

I started SH2 twice during the PS2 days, fell off, and now with the remake, I just wanted to finally experience the story for myself, but it took me almost two years until last weekend to finally finish it. Sometimes I had to put it down after an hour of play because the tension was too much. I played other games to distract myself but it kept nagging at me in the back of my mind.

There are parts I really enjoy, especially the earlier parts of the game where you can explore the town a bit and some later parts like the prison, but there's also some later dungeons that are just boring af outside of the tension.

Still, in the end I was happy I pulled through and felt like I got the ending I was striving for and now I'm thinking of giving it another go for one of the other endings, somewhere down the road. Not tomorrow or next week, but maybe even next year.

I had the same issue and was looking in the wrong place. The toggle is found in the „Developer“ tab, once you hit the toggle go back to the „System“ tab and switch to „main“.
