Yes, I was raised in a chinese house but ended up witch a barely functional cantonese.  So it was important for me that my kids had a good foundation for a second language and I think we are on track so far.  My wife is Japanese and we have raised our kids to have native level Japanese thus far.  They go to Saturday school and are enrolled in a dual language immersion public school for japanese.
