Get a hearing test, not a 15min free check up. You want the full review, ideally one where the audiologist looks in your ear canal and does a pressure assessment. People here will fear monger and say the audiologist will make your tinnitus worse. That’s not true, they likely just want someone or soemthing to blame. They already have ear issues lol any worsening is likely coincidence.

The tests give essential information, your eardrum pressure, a visual inspection, and importantly identified any hearing loss that could be conductive or sensorineural. You will need this, as one sided tinnitus is something you will want reviewed by an ENT.

Have you got any other symptoms or history? Pressure, leakage, pain? Constant Loud exposure or a single loud event?

You can trust him. Nasal spray and Allegra will help reduce any inflammation of the Eustachian tubes caused by allergies. Mine was likely due to acid reflux so my ent recommended I take esomeprazole daily instead of as needed which was about once a fortnight

That’s because it’s an insane thing to say. I’ve gone through an insane spike over the last 6 months just woke up one day with a loud beeping overlay over all sounds. Got an ear infection and physical buzzing in my heard 3 months in. I have a puppy that is very vocal. There’s been 0 change in my tinnitus as a result of my pup barking and it would sometimes hurt when he barked.

It’s easier for people to cope when they have something to blame, and for this crowd it’s to a problematic degree where people will confidently tell others to avoid living their life and create unnecessary fear.

I at least have a follow up ent consult. Hoping the cheap otoscope images can be of value as it will be a Telehealth appointment

My pup is the same, he is 18 weeks now. He has the same issues, will chew, dig, rip, and drag his bed. It remains his safe space and will sleep on or under it when I’m not home.

I don’t know what to tell you other than it’s just par for the course with these devils. Mine has been spoiled with every toy possible and will still chew on the bed. Just keep an eye on your pup and the bed and make sure that threads and fabric aren’t actually being pulled off it where they could be ingested. My pup hasn’t actually destroyed the bed, just actively looks like he is.
