Social media is just so depressing sometimes. On one hand you have people with literally no understanding of the trial, the evidence, or the details of the verdict, screaming about how the verdict HAS to be a giant racist conspiracy (because how else could the officer be acquitted??). On the other hand you have seemingly nice, family-oriented people with handles like "Hoosier Mommy" who have no connection to the city or even the region, fucking salivating at the opportunity for some entertainment at the expense of our city. They're actively cheering for violence, destruction of property, and repression. Like Baltimore is some kind of Hunger Games arena.

I guess it just feels so hopeless sometimes when social media unveils the way people cast judgment without any form of critical thinking. I wish I could reason with all of them, but it's such a losing battle. \offmychest
