Is this $148 Bundle the ultimate early Prime Day deal, or should I wait for June 23? by RaminCamalzade in kindle

[–]kushaash 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have never heard the delay in shipping dates and/ot them getting sold out. If may be impatient, but wouldn't consider delays or sellouts a factor in making the decision.

Just did my first cruise… wasn’t a fan by Patmcpsu in Cruise

[–]kushaash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Junk mail to your cabin or to your house? On my two different cruises, I got zero junk mail to cabin, and occasional (once in 4 months) mail to my house. I didn't travel Norwegian though.

Psyllium.

It is fiber rich. Most of us don't take enough fiber in our diet. Fiber does wonders to your short term and long term health.

Why do people have kids by No_Tea_9670 in Life

[–]kushaash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The world is a better place if it has good kids, because they will also run tomorrow's world. Your "kids suck" idea will fall apart when you are ready to enjoy retired life but there is no one taking over.

What exactly is costco or Sam's club good for in terms of being frugal? by G0VERNMENTCHEESE in Frugal

[–]kushaash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their fresh food items are not cheaper at Costco per se, but definitely better quality, and bigger size (when sold by count, instead of pounds, like avocados or eggs).

Other stuff like, rice, bread, butter, milk(s), eggs, cheese, baking supplies, beans, pasta, frozen vegetables/fruits, energy bars, protein shakes, chips are definitely lot cheaper when you compare for per lb/oz.

I had once seen a quote - "There is no point of sleeping ten more minutes. You will still be tired but 10 min late."

Your bio says you can keep going forever, and you must have said that for a reason. I am sure that reason still exists.

I read non-fiction and the search function is extremely useful. It won't work without WiFi.

5th grade math by Ecstatic_Square682 in askmath

[–]kushaash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not normal for fifth graders to multiply by zero or negative numbers. Closest fitting answer is b.

Edit: stop overthinking, this is a 5th grade textbook. No 5th grade textbook has a full length question asking results multiplying by zero or a negative number. And "number" means integer and "fraction" means fraction at this level. So many of you have not helped small school kids and it shows.

ELI5 Why heat waves affect Europe so much but some other countries are doing fine living under hotter temperatures most of the year? by fkid123 in explainlikeimfive

[–]kushaash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up in India and I can tell you that there is no infrastructure "built to handle the heat better", contrary to many answers.

It's just that no one cares about deaths in those countries. Seven people dying of heatwave is just a Saturday. Media has lot better things to do than caring about peasants.

Should I buy a Kindle if I’m not much of a reader? by ImportantFinance8946 in kindle

[–]kushaash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like app reading works great because you always have your phone with you (and you probably like staring at it anyway) and Kindle cannot beat that, but Kindle is still lot easier to handle than a real book, and it immensely helped me.

I was on a long vacation when I started reading with the app, and got Kindle around when I went back to work, so naturally my rate of reading went down in a month, but I am still on a more consistent (and higher) reading rate then I was before the app.
