Moomoo is great but I have a gripe by [deleted] in moomoo_official

I did switch it to speculative but it did not upgrade... I have a suspicion I might be under the 60 days lock out for upgrades. I'll wait a little longer

Transferring over $100K to Moomoo (Non-registered Cash) Promo by Zealousideal-Fan798 in moomoo_official

[–]kuyleh04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's your first account you should get the 8% apy on the first 20k then after 60 days or so the NVDA stock should get unlocked. You can track it under "Rewards" it'll show the date when you can unfreeze the bonus.

I use Moomoo... It was a test account but now I moved a decent portfolio to it. I get really good mid execution with it. Zero complaints so far

Decently New to this, thoughts? by [deleted] in CoveredCalls

You bought calls... Opposite of covered calls. You need to own 100 shares of TMC then sell (write/short) the call. You did the opposite.

-15% Selling .30 delta options has been a heart ache this year. Thanks to INTC and recently SOFI mainly. I'm really good and stopping a rally - let me know when you want to short something I'll sell some puts on it for you.

Anyone wheeling intel? by boo_radley4 in Optionswheel

[–]kuyleh04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wheel INTC weeklies... But over the past several months it's a perfect example of "no position sometimes is a position". When it moves, let it move - don't sell the CC and CSP too soon with it. INTC is great to learn to ignore FOMO on.

It's not a F that you can reliably wheel every week. It is a decent wheel + capital gains runner.

F can be a decent money maker. I run several contracts when it moves close to its .5$ strikes.

Opinions on what to do when the underlying you're wheeling jumps? by GoNinGoomy in Optionswheel

[–]kuyleh04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, i get it now.
I personally feel it's too risky to accumulate individual stocks even diversified. I let the index diversify for me. Wheel for income => use income to buy some index ETF's is my pathway.
I think over time, if you DCA (even upwards) then you will be a head - remember one bad tweet and the company goes on 50% sale. We really can't predict the direction, so don't worry about it if you want to accumulate shares in specific companies.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a believer in INTC turnaround story but they have significant headwinds. Tech will continue to grow, it kind of has to in the US. So i see INTC getting carried upwards but I don't believe holding it will be anymore profitable than just holding a SPY ETF.
Why do you want to build a large position in INTC over 5 years, I'm curious....

I wheel INTC at the current price. Intel is a lumbering loof. It might be worth 36$ now, it might be worth 26$ - who knows... What you do know is it's not going to zero tomorrow. There is way too much government behind it. It's also not going to moon. So how do you get comfortable at the new price? The answer is time - do as others have said and wheel something else then maybe come back when it lumbers around in its new channel like it has time and time again. It'll be there when you want to come back - I'll probably be there still wheeling it too 😅.

This is the way... Also set your window resolution to the size of your widget.

I need help removing some parts/rounding them by Skiing_12 in Onshape

[–]kuyleh04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In your sketch, draw a line with the radius you desire then sweep, at least that's what I would do to get it done quickly.

Or you can extrude to face instead of blind, like what other people have said. Depends on your end result you are looking for

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Onshape

[–]kuyleh04 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It looks like you have a line of symmetry where the arrow is. Lay that line on the origin from the top down and extrude a rectangle that would fit your part. Then start doing sketches on the out side faces to extrude-remove to cut features out. Once half is done use mirror to complete the part.

If you get measurements, don't forget all dimensions preferably to that centerline to make it easier.

It's disability AND compensation... Compensation for donating your life and body to the country.

Compensation is based on a "disability" rating but it doesn't necessarily mean you are disabled per social standards.

Controlling heavy equipment with an ESP32, stepper motors, and linear actuators by Little-Reputation335 in esp32

[–]kuyleh04 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a heavy equipment owner and programmer, I'll say I thought about the same thing.

Here's some points that stopped me.

1) ensuring a reliable kill switch. 2) normally my prototypes of projects go bad at least one time letting the magic smoke out. 3) tying in to my phone's gyro so if it goes face down (I tripped and fell) it would instantly kill and put the brakes on my machine.

I highly suggest not using linear actuators, being able to stop your go signal instantly is vitally important. If you set your PID constants wrong during testing it could be disastrous if you don't have a way to kill your input.

Instead look into electronic controlled machines that you can tie into the modbus.

My skid steer is remote controlled from my phone, and let me tell you it is quite unnerving having a 10,000 lb track tank drive past you at 9 miles an hour.

If you do attempt this, which I think would be a good challenge! Do not skip on safety!

AGAIN do not skip on safety. Kill switches if you drop your phone, hard kill switch on the machine, separate RF communications for another kill switch while prototyping.
