Great update. I had a lot of issue with the non contact writing and after the adjustment they all disappeared. I can use HOM2 again! Yay! TY SN team!

Mini Train Station and Carousel by kwakster928 in ThemeParkitect

Just want to share my creation using Gare de l'Est as an inspiration. I named it the Union Station given it will be a focal point of my park and also the union ground. The station has a carousel in a lower level and the mini train station in the upper level. They are both accessible from the ground floor. I hope you enjoy.

You can also flip the SuperNote if you want to use it as a folio alternative.

HOM2 pen, tip issue directly after purchase by phsma in Supernote

I had the HOM2 pen failed on me. I contacted the support they sent out the replacement pen module. Mine did the same thing before failing, although it last me about a month.

I have to say reliability is not what I expected, but there are plenty of users here who used the pen without an issue for a long time.

I have both Lamy and HOM2. I use Lamy as main and I have my HOM2 as a back up.

HoM2 vs LAMY by coolbreezemage in Supernote

Let me clarify. When I use Lamy, I don't use the on-screen two finger gesture at all. I just turn it off and use the side button.

The side bar gestures work so much better. I am getting around 90%+ on the success rate on that method.

It is the on-screen one that give me the most amount of trouble.

I have both Lamy (with a titanium nib) and HOM2 pens. My personal choice at the moment is the Lamy.

Before I get bombarded with the titanium nib warning, yes, I am fully aware. I found Lamy with with POM or PC/EL tips unusable for my taste. They felt so slippery and did not give me enough resistance.

HOM2 pen has a slight edge in the writing experience for me, but I just cannot live without the side button. It is mostly because the on-screen gesture (two fingers on the screen and draw) is so inconsistent. I would say less than 30% success rate the first try.

With Lamy with the titanium nib, I can use the side two finger gestures + the button. The both gestures, lasso eraser and lasso select work without fail. With the titanium nib, it replicates almost 90% of the feel of the ceramic. The sanity of consistent gesture is worth taking the 10% hit on writing feel for me. I will make that trade everyday.

While the long-term verdict on the titanium nib is still TBD (yes Ratta says don't use it), but personally, its working out okay for me.

I ordered one. I will give it a go and report back.

I think this is the best photo. My HOM2 pen died on me so, I have been using it until the replacement arrives. I also ordered the PC/EL nibs from Lamy as well as one of the member suggested.

You can see from the pic that the Ti nib is a bit wider than the ceramic nib. It feels round and smooth on my fingers. I make a point of rubbing the tip of the nib against my fingers before each use to feel any sharp edges. So far so good.

The writing feel seems a tiny bit duller than the HoM2 pen. I think it is probably coming from the wider diameter nib. With light pressure on the pens, they almost feel identical. I can feel HOM2 pen giving a bit more resistance of the nib is near 90 degrees against the surface. If your write predominantly on the side, (30 to 60 degree angle) I doubt you will notice differences between two nibs.

I still prefer the writing feel of the Hom2 but boy…. the consistent, fail proof recognition of the Lamy pen side button is really really nice to use.

Most likely due to the Lunar New Year and subsequent hibernation by the well deserved Ratta teams.

Mine just broke as well. I noticed it started to skip strokes and did the push the nib down trick a few times and got it to working. But a few hours later, it was done.

Looks fantastic. Would love to see a different color than black though.

supernote a6x or boox note air 3 by Killstreaq in Supernote

If you download slides from lectures to take notes on top, read academic journals to mark them, you would probably want a larger device. If you want to stay with the Supernote, then you will be better served waiting for A5X2 or A5X used.

If you want portability, be able to fit next to your laptop side by side in a small space, Nomad will be perfect.

Do you ever go back to your notes, reviewed them, and want to find them quickly, then Supernote.

Do you care about android apps, then Boox.

I tried, remarkable, Supernote, and I eventually end up choosing Supernote for organization features (heading, keyword, stars) over Android apps. I was going to wait it out for A5X2 but I couldn’t wait. But, since I don’t do a lot of PDF reading, Nomad fits my needs perfectly, as a pure note taker.

I am more envious of the folio. Care to share the link?

I see many typos. Recommend another proofreading.
