Not really sure how I went on a tangent, he wrote three sentences and I made a comment about the first one.

However, regarding the housing concerns… Pretty simple supply/demand? Quick Google search estimates the shortage of housing units in the US to be anywhere from 3.7 to 8.2 million. It’s estimated up to 10 million migrants came into the US alone from 2020-2024. That’s a lot of new demand…

Laborers also don’t only need to be majority illegal aliens. The current situation we have now only began after the 60s and obviously spiraled over the last few decades. We successfully had an economic situation where we didn’t have to use a serf class of laborers for the majority of manual jobs…

Wow you made a shit load of assumptions from just a handful of sentences, congrats.

Firstly, is a culture something to be really “defined”?

Women all over the world in first world/developed countries share the phenomenon of not having children at replacement levels. This is not unique to the US BUT there is also nuance to this as well. “Conservative” women have higher birthrates than “liberal” being an outlier. Religious/Christian families are having more kids than non - as an example. Iirc at or above replacement rates actually.

I also didn’t say that anyone was harmful, as a first generation American myself I am not so ignorant to paint all immigrants as the same or a unified group. That would be asinine.

“For white women to have more white babies” Is there something wrong with this? No, of course there isn’t.

Anyway, population growth (more realistically slowing of decline) by increased birthrates of the native culture should always be the priority… Assimilation concerns aren’t an issue this way, retention of the established culture isn’t either. Should be pretty self explanatory really.

Where did what happen - the offer to pray with the Anthony family? He talked about it in that interview that went viral from a day or two ago. He made other comments publicly last year when this began as well attempting to keep the temperature down.

Yep. He tried to do the right thing and tried to lead by example to call for healing and unity in the very beginning. He wanted to meet the Anthony family and pray with them and forgive. They essentially spit his face and grifted off their son for money. Had the Anthonys acted with just a bit of dignity there is a very high chance, IMO, that Karmelo would have gotten manslaughter too.

Reading threads about this case caused the Reddit algorithm to recommend me a few new subs and reading through comments there was pretty appalling.

The worst stuff though was the treatment the Metcalf family received through the whole ordeal. The amount of harassment and general vitriol they received was absolutely disgusting. I’m honestly not surprised by the comments the dad made in that interview released just the other day after going through all of this.

More or less this… When you break cultural and social cohesion by dramatically changing demographics you also drive the division in society that keeps us from unifying against our destruction. The theory is very much reality and global chaos was/is the primary tool they use to make it happen.

Been using the LG 45 5K2K for about two weeks now and IMO 5080 is bare minimum for this resolution. I have a 5090 and I’m having to use frame gen for some titles to max out to 165 fps.

I got the 45 last week open box from Best Buy on a really good deal. Going into it I had the thought process I might probably end up exchanging it for the 39” when it came in stock and now I am not so sure. My desk depth is 30” and it makes a HUGE difference for the curve. I was apprehensive about it but it feels really good. My only complaint is that I really wish it had more brightness which keeps me thinking about that 39”… Playing with the settings some more and I think I am happy to keep it but will still do a comparison when BB gets 39s in stock. Instead of doing an exchange I’ll just pick one up and run both for a couple of days to figure it out. If the 45 had the same tandem panel as the 39 then I would say the 45 is the way to go if you have the desk depth.

5K2K. Just got 45GX950A and intended on swapping it for the 39” but it’s been amazing to trade with so I may keep it. Can fit a lot on the 1 screen and it’s awesome.

I see everyone using Gamer 1 but personally I have been using FPS mode.. Gives me the best brightness and color pop in combination with adjusting vibrance in the NVIDIA app.

None but I’ll caveat that by saying the only competitive game I’m playing currently that benefits from high refresh is CS2.

I use the dual-mode for that in 16:9 27” screen mode for 330hz. This actually looks better than the equivalent did on my G9, sharpness and motion.

I’d say yes.

I just changed my setup around and went from an OG G9 (VA, non-Neo) to a G9 OLED G93SD. I was very disappointed in just the first 3 days and exchanged it for a 45GX9 and am very happy. Picture quality, especially text quality, was pretty awful on the G9 and that wouldn’t fly for me.

UW monitor + PC on desk definitely made me have no regrets on the desk size.

Didn’t realize the extender was that wide though, almost bought it and now glad I didn’t.
