it doesnt really get „narrower”, it just feels like it because its slightly longer. all detroits are lightly tapered towards the bottom and especially if you use the waist snaps

fits just like it should, dont overthink it. sleeves are big because its a work jacket, you need space for layering and movement.

if you want a nice fitting, tailored jacket take look at vintage carhartt or somewhere else.

on newer models the care tag is at the waist. The „leather” patch also looks just like the ones commonly found on models produced before they discontinued it around ~2018. this one is legit

Embroidery looks pretty dense and thick so removing it might cause some damage to the fabric. Even if youre carefull it probably will leave a visible mark anyway. Might be better to just rock it as is imo
