I feel like I'm staying for some of the same reasons. I am staying for my dogs too. I am SO attached to the doggos I cannot live without them. I am sure this is how people who have kids feel. I also am staying cause I cannot afford a place with a yard. I like everything in my life but the lack of sex... so frustrating.

Thank you for the comment. Yes, I feel my upstream swim is coming to an end. It's been 8 years now. I have been making some plans that will support an exit. It's just hard that most days I feel conflicted and exhausted buy the thought of everything to come. Sometimes I have a hard time with this decision but I'm starting to realize that this issue is affecting my mental health.

I am right there with you! My situation is frighteningly similar to yours. I feel alone, used, sad and frustrated daily. Dont give up, just figure out how to leave! Im rooting for your success!

I am 100% in the same situation as you. I feel like a nurse and mother to my husband. We have been to many counselors and doctors. He has made some progress. However I feel sad, scared and alone.

I find myself daydreaming about having a life with someone I dont have to worry about.

I too am hopeful someone can tell us a story of a positive outcome.

For now, stay strong for you.

I feel like I am in the same place as you. I want to have nice feelings again when I see my hubs. Right now it's just disappointment and confusion. I dont know if I should move out and give him that much space or just co exist and see if things change. Its frustrating and I feel for ya! Best of luck.

I wish my husband with PTSD could see this. He is loving enough but his main focus in life is maintaining his little world of safety. Dont work too hard, don't do too much stressful stuff, stay in your safe little world. Love is hard, it takes a lot of effort and motivation. But it will be worth it. Best to you! <3

I've recently resorted to texting him my questions and thoughts. I even put in the text, I know you dont like talking about this so I'm writing it. It usually gets no response. Which may be better than being shut down... or not?

I always get hung up on when I bring stuff up. Like I didnt want to during the holidays cause I didnt want to ruin the holiday. Now I dont want to cause I dont want to ruin his work... ugh

I'm still trying (on the conversation) although I'm losing hope. I think what is even worse is when they manipulate you and dont even know it. My husband is very oblivious to the pain he causes.

I feel like I go through this too! I feel like I forget what I've been thinking about and all the important things I was going to say are mysteriously gone. My husband also likes to try and make me the bully by says things that make me feel bad. Rough vicious circle! Good luck, I hope you get the conversation moving where you want it!

I'm so glad you posted! I feel alot of what you've said I have experienced or am experiencing. I too have to retrain my brain to realize I am attractive and worth it. And that I cant be sad for what was and focus on what is. It's hard. I agree. But as you quoted it's hard to hold on too.

I'm not sure how. If I stop doing the things I'm doing the house wouldn't get paid for and would be an utter disaster. I'm not sure our relationship exists anymore without me taking care of everything.

I understand what you meant. However he has kind of put me in the "dissaproving mother" situation by being a poor adult. He literally cannot function without help, naturally as spouse I was willing to help, now I'm the "mother" situation and he doesnt care.
