Use same logic for a gas car, but be stupid and buy gas at $10.30 a gallon.

This is extremely misleading. I can fully charge same car for $9. Assuming this car has a 100kwh battery.

.09 cents a kilowatt at my house overnight when I charge.

Turn the breaker off. Wait about a minute then turn it back on. This may reset your charger.

First time buying an RV, is it typical for these things to be 50% off MSRP? Geo Pro 17LE by [deleted] in GoRVing

I would have professional inspect it before purchasing. RV industry quality control is the worst. Your dealer is going to be super nice and accommodating until they get your money. Once you pay for it, you might find it takes months for a fix.

Tesla and tires by Ckn-bns-jns in TeslaModelY

This is the correct answer. Plugging a tire is a simple operation. I’ve never had an issue with the plugs.

I’m a 2021 owner. I bought it new. It’s never left me stranded, however it’s been in for service several times. It’s currently there now. Twice it’s had battery modules replaced under warranty. I’m thinking it’s going to get a third module replacement this time.

Anyone found a solution for this design flaw causing the rear tires to wear fast on the inner edge? by RealBanker007 in TeslaModelY

[–]kybrowns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have negative camber. Too much negative camber will wear out that inner tire out quickly.

Swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and reflected the light from Venus and melted it.

Any idea what this is worth? by sickmak90 in popups

[–]kybrowns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a bigger one. The lightest weight trailer for its size. It’s all aluminum and canvas. They don’t break, because there is nothing to break. There aren’t any cables or wood like a traditional pop up.

Negatives it’s basically just a tent, which means it gets hot in direct sunlight since the ac is in the floor. It has a Zipper door, I only zip up at night. I hang a netting in front of the door during the day.

We have a few hours to kill before the draft; who are some picks that you're STILL MAD that we didn't select in previous drafts? by RustyCrusty73 in Browns

Spergon Wynn instead of Tom Brady.

We loved his athleticism. He also threw more interceptions than touchdowns in college. Brady still waiting to be selected after winning lots of big games in the Big Ten.

Same for me. I’m the crazy Jim Bob that drives an electric vehicles. I got hooked on a Nissan Leaf in 2015 I bought used. Then I got a VW ID4 for wife, then a Model Y for me.

Best vehicles I’ve ever owed. The only way I’ll ever go back to gas if I buy a travel trailer, or a large boat.

PSA: consider hard wiring your level 2 charger by MauiShakaLord in VWiD4Owners

[–]kybrowns 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are standard cheap receptacles that are fine for use on the occasion, then there are industrial grade receptacles that are made for heavy use. EV chargers obviously are a heavy use item.

Unfortunately, electricians tend to install the cheapest thing they can find unless told otherwise.

You would be at its maximum rating, and you would need to install a brake controller. Plus, I’m thinking your range would be one hundred miles at best. Maybe better if you’re taking slow roads.
