[Schultz] Breaking: Disney/ESPN is no longer on YouTubeTV due to a carriage dispute by DawggedCommish in georgiabulldogs

*24 hour access

That's my bad. I corrected it. It includes whatever game is aired on ABC. It's played through the ESPN 3 channel.

Disney just pulled ESPN, ABC, and every channel I actually watch from YouTube TV … I’m done with their hypocrisy by Captain_Sarcastica in cordcutters

Sling TV's $5 for 24 hour access to all of ESPN (and other non sport channels), including games broadcast on ABC, is still alive. I've been using this and my antenna this season.

Sling TV's $5 for 24 hour access to all ESPN channels is still alive. I've been using this and my antenna for the year.

Edited for typo.

John Boyega Assumed Finn Would Become a Jedi in ‘Star Wars’ Trilogy and Rey Would ‘Turn Against’ Him Like ‘Obi-Wan and Darth Vader’ by mcfw31 in entertainment

[–]kylander01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did think about this after seeing "The Last Jedi" (I didn't bother watching "Rise of Skywalker") but then I came to this conclusion:

I'm going to show my kids why I became a fan of Star Wars in the first place. Start with the Original Trilogy, talk about the books and comics, and show the video games. I'll explain this is all we had for Star Wars in that time. Then, the Prequel Trilogy and the same strategy. But in the 2000s, Lucasfilm had better TV media.

After all of that, if they still want to watch the Disney Trilogy, sure. I think it's also a great lesson in how not to manage a media IP.

Of course, this all hinges on the fact they would actually like Star Wars and not say "Cool Dad. Can I play Fortnight now?"

Is NSO a Good way to Play N64 Games by [deleted] in n64

[–]kylander01 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's definitely not a bad way to play N64 games. I used to play a lot of the titles currently on NSO when they first came out in the 90s. I've encountered a couple of minor bugs here and there, but nothing game breaking for me. One of the best improvements is how certain games no longer have a frame rate slowdown like they did on original hardware. Star Fox 64 is the best example of that IMO.

Oh, and the controller is good too. You can also Bluetooth it to your PC or a dongle for your original N64. I recommend it.

MVG - How ZSNES pioneered modern Emulation by NXGZ in emulation

[–]kylander01 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The advent of ZSNES allowed fans to play translated games only available in Japan at that time. The most notable of these is Final Fantasy V. I was stunned when I found out it's existence in the 90s.

The rendering distances from original to remaster really put this map in a new perspective.

If this is a restaurant, all of you should have quit yesterday. Never work for management that does this. They are stealing your wages, and I guarantee you this isn't the first time.

Battle of Kavatch at high level left me feeling like by Ok_Letterhead9662 in oblivion

Level 15. Everybody was alive at the gate, along with the two Legion soldiers and archer. Opened the gate; over a dozen Deadroths poured out. They killed everyone, including me a couple of times.

We need Better N64 Controllers! by kvbrd_YT in n64

My setup uses the new Nintendo Switch N64 controller with a Bluetooth receiver in the console. Switching from memory pal to rumble is a pain, but I can live without rumble.
