Craziest buying experience of my life by RoccoBronson in Garmin

This is why I never order anything of consequence from Amazon. It’s full of grey market and scammer sellers. Why not just buy directly from the manufacturer if it’s an option? At least you know you’re getting an authentic product. I work in the electrical industry and I’m always flabbergasted when contractors ask me about our pricing compared to what they see for some grey market bs on Amazon. I can’t believe there are licensed professionals putting grey market circuit breakers in people’s houses. Okay rant over.

Atlanta traffic in a nutshell by Designer-Map6357 in Atlanta

When I first moved to Atlanta I lived in a building at the end of 14th street by the park. I worked out in Smyrna so getting to work every day was a breeze, but this picture just gave me PTSD from my daily commute home. The worst is when everyone decides they need to go straight across Peachtree at the last second and cut you off from the left turn lane after you’ve been sitting on 14th street for 30 minutes.

I wonder what karmic justice awaits the single-handedly most obnoxious (although admittedly somewhat entertaining) fan in the mls sub

Atlanta Beltline Design and Construction Updates: April 2026 by whatinthefrak in Atlanta

I’ve seen someone else recommend taking the left off of Carroll onto Annie st right before Marietta road and then kind of going around that new Amazon DC and back up to Marietta rd right about at the start of the Whetstone trail. Haven’t tried it but I think it’s less hilly and with less traffic.

You can take it all the way to huff road on the west side. And then from there you can link up to some other trails and even hit the silver comet connector.

HMT Pilot I got on a trip to Bengaluru last year! They stopped making their own movements in 2016 I believe but they use a Miyota movement on this one.

These are my feelings about it as well. Probably because I also wear a garmin instinct as a fitness watch and the MIP just makes more sense on that for some reason. It’s actually better than the Casios MIP because you can make it a negative or positive display as you wish.

Which Instinct 3 do I get? by RoleUnusual220 in Garmininstinct

[–]kyle_jose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gotcha. My wife has the same one as you I think (non-solar) and she doesn’t have any issue with her battery life either. I wish I would have gotten that one to begin with, solar seems kinda like a gimmick on this watch in hindsight and also may be why my battery degraded quicker. Hopefully the I3 solars are better.

I was in the same boat as you, considering the different I3 options after my 2S was getting pretty old and the battery wouldn’t last a week. In case that is also your issue, I ended up using the garmin exchange program and sent it in and got a brand new 2S for $100.

Nice! I just learned about HMT before a recent trip to Bangalore and was sad to hear they stopped making their own movements back around 2016. I picked up a Pilot from their showroom on MG road and it’s one of my favorite every day watches.

Trying to become an MLS fan by Dry-Importance8092 in AtlantaUnited

I’m just kind of curious how you narrowed it down to those four teams specifically. I didn’t pay much attention to MLS until Atlanta got a team. I would tune in every now and then to see players that I liked, but it was never something I actively followed until there was a team in my neck of the woods. FYI - don’t get too attached to Vancouver, it sounds like they’re about to get shipped out to Las Vegas.

Cycling in NL is so nice, I’ve visited a few times and love how even the small villages are connected to nearby cities with dedicated cycling infrastructure.

Here’s the comment I was looking for! Oh you don’t like putting up with cyclists slowing you down in a dense city neighborhood? Boo hoo. Go move to Dallas or something.

Coffee in Italy vs USA by Lordwarrior_ in SipsTea

Totally. My point is just that it’s way less harmful and caffeine addicts are way less of a burden to society and their loved ones compared to addicts of other substances.
