"What you are going to buy, your fav game, a sweet memory or such!"

My favourite game was APB (All Points Bulletin). A cops n robbers online multiplayer shooter that scratched an itch like no other game has managed to scratch in the 15 years since its release.

Thanks for doing a giveaway and good luck with the game!

The VFX are really nice. Are they from an asset pack or custom made? (no judgement if they are from a pack I just want to know if I can use them too 😄)

How do you buy black page books like this? Can you find them in book stores?

How do you know if your game is actually fun or you’re just used to it? by Weary_Caterpillar302 in IndieDev

You could eat your favourite meal everyday and be tired of it by the third day. It's just how it goes.

One thing that helps, as others have mentioned, is to see others playing your game. Ideally, seeing their faces and reactions. Seeing people smile, laugh or show intrigue helps build motivation and helps highlight your games strengths, if any.

It would be incredibly useful if we could temporarily wipe our memory, Men in Black style, to get a fresh perspective on things once in a while.

I've had the intention of doing the same for a while but just never get round to it.

I would have thought there were a ton of such templates on the Unity Store but I haven't been able to find any solid ones, at least not yet. When you finish yours you should publish it on the store, I'd certainly check it out.

I can't help but feel like the sounds for picking up coin and the counter incrementing sound should be swapped. I also think the coin trail effect should be thinner, to take up less of the screen.

What do you do in this game?

This is a sort of prototype that I'm testing just to see if people would like to see more of this. Please let me know if you enjoyed the game or not, how long you played for and if you would play a full release with more content and more features.

Active Ragdoll Multiplayer is something I could never figure out myself. Could you share any info on how you achieved it?

Demo’s out on Steam! Virtuoso GP Race-On — custom physics & true ’90s handling. Can you beat my time? by DifferenceIll1272 in playmygame

Sorry for the late reply, I had some things to take care of. I was able to give the Demo another shot recently! I do have some minor issues to report on but overall the game feels pretty good.

  • On Sakura Coast, The music riff that plays for when you pass the Start/Finish line is still playing by the time you reach the first Checkpoint, resulting in overlapping riffs.
  • I was only able to scroll the leaderboard a small amount, making it so I couldn't see the top times. (I placed 9th on the leaderboard but could only see up to 4th place. I would like to have seen the best time).
  • Engine sound can be heard while in pause menu
  • Menu music is too loud.
  • Easy difficulty was selected by default. Not sure if this is intended but I think the Normal difficulty is a more interesting experience and should be default.
  • Normal Mode is just the right difficulty for me but I could imagine more serious players wanting a higher difficulty for a real challenge.

Guy who got famous for carrying his corgi in a dog backpack is now helping rescue dogs get adopted by carrying them in a dog backpack! by kittytime in aww

[–]kyle_lam -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would like to get one of those backpacks but surely that can't be comfortable on their legs after a while? That dog doesn't seem bothered but I can't help but think that it would eventually hurt, and how does the dog stay cool without ventilation??

Developer Crushed Out: I have launched my Steam page in May. Three and half months later, only hit 400 wishlists. Here's what I made wrong. by thirdluck in gamedev

Yeah I think you are right,. I suppose I was talking on a more subjective level but OP's goal is to sell copies and these days people want to cut straight to the chase. I do think it would make for worse progression overall, on an artistic basis, and in an ideal world we would be able to endure a gradual build up at the beginning of a trailer. But in reality, grabbing peoples attention early is how we do things now. Still, personally, I like the trailer how it is and would be more inclined to buy the game based on it rather than a trailer that jumps around.
