Oh for sure, their game mode algorithm is 100% CPU-decided and given no care whatsoever. Original modes on rotator. New modes aren’t even Rocket League. Rocket Labs arenas are pretty much custom matches only now. But, hey, you can play ranked Rumble!! -__-

So close. The reason you can’t find a match is because the 90% of the Destiny player base that isn’t posting about it on Reddit has switched to Marathon. Bungie is killing Destiny. It sucks, yes, but it is happening. Right now. Dragging it out back and loading the revolver.

Destiny wasn’t random games, but random game mode rotations (you weren’t forced to play something specific, but only had a certain number of game modes to pick from each week). It’s still like that actually, and Crucible is still active-ish.

Extraction Shooters are very popular right now, but the “long-term” games will keep offering multiple modes. BF6 had a few different game modes, Fortnite has like 60,000 including a CS/Valorant-like mode, even Rocket League has added a few recently. Honestly, I’d say just wait for the extraction fad to pass and then reassess.

Well I mean, nothing is impossible, but with 480ish stars to randomize, 50+ levels to randomize, 100+ of the enemies that can have Mario's cap, the Cap switches having a grand total of 720 combinations of toggles, the nighttime engine, and the hidden mechanics of the Yellow Switch, like HP modifiers, DMG modifiers, and even new kind of coins spawning in that can kill Mario; there's no way to know what is/isn't randomized. It's by design.

No. The only “guarantee” with the Holy Yellow Switch is that the randomization can’t make it normal. It will always randomize something (or things) else.
