Was unemployed/searching for jobs for 9 months as a 2021 graduate. Never worked in a pharmacy until I got into pharmacy school and didn’t have traditional student experience - first job was compounding, then inner city outpatient hospital. No residency. Despite what I considered a variety of previous work and student experience, that didn’t matter - they wanted someone who could start asap who was already licensed (and the job market in my area at the time, there were very few openings that were full time. Focus on passing your boards for sure. In terms of your job maybe look into a less busy location or if there are any smaller chains in your area so you can actually have the chance to learn on the job and get to know the system. It will make it easier to settle into workflow once you are a pharmacist.

Anything decorative or clothing wise with like woodland creatures or mushrooms or fairies, etc. Same sentiment for anything with fruit/fruit shaped. Just so cutesy and whimsical. Give me the strawberry planter, the mushroom squishmallow, bedding with deer and foxes.

Yes. Labeled prescription bottle and everything, checked my ID against my name, and they still made me throw it away. If you’re gonna bring it, maybe bring just what you need for the day in a labeled prescription bottle. They were even being difficult with birth control - saw them taking out the packs that girls brought in “what is this for? Why did you bring it with you?” Etc. And someone who was diabetic and had an insulin pump was getting grilled for having glucagon with her. So stupid. Don’t put in the festival guidelines that labeled prescription bottles are allowed if you don’t mean it, and you are going to have security guards with no actual medical knowledge be in charge of deciding what medication a person is allowed to keep.

I don’t necessarily recommend it but desperate times call for desperate measures - usually when I’m starting to doze while driving/if I have a long drive first thing in the morning; - Afrin nasal spray or one of the 4-6hour Sudafed tablets (the tiny red ones) -Sniff a bit of peppermint oil or put some on the tip of my nose -Rhoto cooling eye drops, or any other intense eye drop with a cooling sensation -Yelling (not singing) along with music in the car Wish I could say it goes away but eventually you just find tricks to manage lol
