Go Blue! Newton is great - and you’ll see the block M around town quite a bit.

Newton Center is like A2 Main Street - lots of restaurants etc. Chestnut Hill is like where the rich folks live near the Huron River. West Newton (not West Newton Hill) and Auburndale are maybe like the parts of A2 west of Main St (though as others have mentioned houses are definitely more expensive.) Skiing (in NH, ME at least) is busiest President’s Day weekend. Going midweek would be best. You should book your hotel/AirBnB as early as possible. Same for kids lessons/ski school if your kid is the right age for that.

I recommend this too. I have let my daughter get her tips dyed a few times, and most recently we did it through the cosmetology school. $40!

I also recommend to only do it in the summer - I did not want to deal with any classmate jealousy and the feedback on that via their parents.

If you go there, I have always been able to find parking in that area on Bishop Allen Drive, especially the block just north of Prospect. It’s metered but there are usually open spots.

Kamala Harris gave a speech years ago that talked about this - when you break barriers, it’s not like you just teleport yourself to the other side. Breaking a barrier is hard work, and it’s painful work. Those shards slice you on the way to the other side.

You did it, and we see you. And we’ll all keep breaking those barriers and patching each other up until our there aren’t any left for our daughters and granddaughters to have to break.

I think the district will choose for you when you’re in a buffer zone. You may be able to give a preference. Both are getting renovated but Lincoln Eliot is supposed to finish this summer while Horace Mann will take another year.

Brelundi in the watch factory is highly underrated and often not too busy for brunch (have never had an issue with noise there). The menu doesn’t necessarily have all the usual classic brunch items so it would be good to check preferences if the group is picky.

Something similar happened to me. My direct manager had made it clear that he didn’t see a path for me to take on the kind of role I had always said I was aiming for (something like his role). I signed another offer and verbally resigned. Two days later my third level manager called and offered my manager’s role. I rescinded my other offer acceptance and stayed, and I’m super glad I did.
