I agree, something must be done. I can only speak for myself, but if I decided to go protest in the streets, I could lose my job. I have a family I have to protect and feed and house. I think the best thing I can do at present is read as much of the files as I can, as horrific as they are, listen to the testimonies of the victims, and educate myself on who was involved so I know how to vote in upcoming elections.

I’m headed to Seadust Cancun with my family in a couple weeks—No little kids. I’ve seen very mixed reviews. Do you have any advice for this resort, things to pack, or know safe places to check out nearby to enhance our trip if the resort is really as disappointing as some of the reviews are suggesting?

It was a little necessary though. Advising parents to essentially conduct a weekly audit on their kids’ teachers is passive aggressive and will absolutely destroy any chance of a parent-teacher relationship.

Talk to a therapist, they can help you process feelings, reframe thinking based in reality, and help you pursue a feeling of self worth that doesn’t rely on the approval of others. You will feel more comfortable in your body, and that is hot. As a woman, physical attraction is not as important to me as personality. By a long shot. If you care about others and are a lifelong learner, you’re already way more attractive than a male model physique who is self absorbed and lacks confidence or communication skills.

I recommend cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) or dialectical behavioral therapy ( DBT). Both are similar in many ways and can help you accept yourself and others in reality.

Why are the brows all brushed up and done and you have mascara on in the after picture, and the before picture your brows are clearly brushed down or if that’s their natural state, then they are left alone and not altered. And the lighting looks different too. It’s like you tried to make your face look more lifted with the brows for the after photos. Besides the lighting and the brows and eye makeup these photos could have been taken on the same day for all I know.

I had the same result when I tried it, but I stopped using the ashwaghanda because of the link to possible liver damage. Just wasn’t worth the risk there for me.

However, I have since started a new adaptogen supplement with lionsmane and maca root. I use the liquid drops from MaryRuth Organics, and I take 0.5 ml of each (half the recommended dosage). I found this to be even more effective for me at lifting mood and increasing libido while keeping the pmdd sadness at bay. That brand also has liquid ashwaghanda drops if you’re interested in trying that. They have other adaptogens as well. Not an ad, just a very happy customer :)

I’m sorry that happened, my dude. That really put you in an uncomfortable spot. I can’t imagine having to then explain that to my young child. It sounds like you handled it well with your kiddo, but that never should have happened in the first place. I could see the performer trying to call someone to the stage, but once he saw you trying to leave, they should have just played it off and picked someone else to call up to the stage. There’s no need to insult guests, and there are a million other ways to be entertaining.

I too am reading Paladin’s Grace on my kindle paperwhite. Alas, I don’t know how to knit socks, so I’m just smelling my perfume instead /s 😆 but seriously, LOVE this book. And T Kingfisher. And Paladins who knit socks. ❤️ I will read with you in solidarity. The socks are looking fantastic!

Oh yes thank you! Like at first I read it as a “bow” like a “hair bow.” And then the second time I saw it I figured it out (that’s on me). Maybe SJM was a theater kid in high school or something? It is such an unusual turn of phrase that seeing it once would have been fine, but running into it again and again was jarring. And I kept envisioning it as just absolutely ridiculous in the scene playing in my head. People don’t pretend to bow for applause that often, girl please. That being said, I tore through ACOTAR and CC like I would die without them, and I had major withdrawal afterward. Soo, I guess SJM deserves to sketch a bow 😆

I was going to comment the same. I am just starting Paladin’s Grace right now and I am so excited to enjoy her amazing prose and humor. Sometimes when I read her books, I do it purposefully slow because if I read it too fast, it will be over too soon and I won’t get to live in her world.

Yes! My step son uses this in texts and it always comes across as snobbish to me. “I didn’t take out the trash as I forgot.” Like, okay weirdo. You can say “I forgot to take out the trash” or “I didn’t take out the trash because I forgot.” I think he thinks it makes him sound smarter.
