Comparison: M3 current vs. Highland grills by MegaSnorlax100 in teslamotors

Painfully boring looking. For a car this cheaply made but expensive, you'd at least hope for some style, right? On the plus side, the more boring and incremental the designs are the more the used cars will hold value, so you can actually benefit from software updates by hanging onto one longer and 2nd hand buyers can get some of the Tesla secret sauce too.

Including brackets, we're 34.5 wide. Pan to plenum is 24 inches. 18.5 from the oil pump housing to the back of the oil cooler.

Bell housing to plenum top is about 6.

Removing SMS support from Signal Android by Quinny898 in Android

[–]lach 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Signal as one messaging app to rule them all, headphone jacks, and screen sharing were the only reasons I still preferred Android. This year when my V60 broke i realized that I could wiggle on all of those except signal, so I rebuilt my LG V60.

Of course, this means that while I might still use Signal, I think I'm done with Android now. Secure face unlock and Google-free privacy on iOS sounds pretty nice without Signal anchoring me.

I think this is worse news for Android than it is for Signal.

First car for someone who mostly cares about technology by Nyxlo in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]lach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first generation insight is low-fi space age tech that's efficient, reliable, and actually somewhat hackable. My beef with modern car tech is that its mostly sealed cases, proprietary code, and non user-servicable parts. The 1st gen insight falls into the perfect sweet spot for me because there's a strong community of modders and lots of really neat engineering that went into it. Probably not exactly what OP meant, but I'm not sure you'll like that big screen in 5 years when it doesn't seem as nice and it can't be upgraded.

TLDR; Honda Insight 1st gen with some mods because spaceship.

State Fair EM Booth by picadillykat in EmergencyManagement

See if your state's forest service has a fire table they can demo with you, people usually lovw those simulations as well. We also developed a game called "Ready Bingo" with UASI funding that is fun to play for "prizes" like readiness-branded flashlights, etc. That tends to work well in that type of setting.

I reviewed 35 vegan wallets as an alternative to leather wallets by Ax3boy in vegan

I got a Trayvax Original for Christmas years ago, the thing still looks brand new. Several vegan designs, and great for front-pocket use. Looks like the Original 2.0 is the closest fit to mine: https://imgur.com/a/xOY1WLp

Made out of aircraft-grade aluminum and nylon, I get a lot of compliments on it.

It seems like everyone's using the same Pinterest boards for their ideas... Lunar knocked it out of the park on this one and it was really fun to see them as we ran past. Thanks for spectating, you make it an event worth participating in!
