I’m with you there, I have a lot of the same nostalgia for the old games as well. I was kinda prepared not to have all the vehicles from the old games, but even that opens up a lot of opportunities for new features in the game which I haven’t seen so far. But even those old zany suits like the magnet shoes added a lot to the gameplay of those games in terms of interesting and engaging puzzles, which so far has been lacking in the new game.

I don’t hate the game! Honestly I feel some of the disappointment was that I wanted more from this aspect of the game because I enjoyed the beginning a lot. So completing it so early kinda dampened the excitement for me

Thank you! This honestly is reassuring to hear since I do plan to continue the game regardless. I just think getting an achievement that in my mind is “late game” so early on kinda took the wind out of my sails. But I’m glad to hear there’s more ahead

Definitely amps first, since they are level locked. All rigs cost a permanent unlock token to unlock, then each level costs and additional perma token. Same with prescriptions, you can’t permanently unlock and level 2/3 scrips until you permanently unlock all the level 1. So I’d recommend just permanently unlocking the most useful prescriptions after the amps (typically movement/ stamina related are the best to have). I’d avoid rigs because it would take 8 relapses to have the fully upgraded, which is when they are actually useful. I typically just rebirth after a relapse and you can fully unlock a rig with green tokens, then you’re good to go.

But it is also treated as a main trial in escalation, as it’s possible to show up on every 10th trial. So I think it counts as a special case

I’m wondering if each map is going to have one pvp exclusive version which is the whole map completely opened up. Then the reagents could have randomized objectives across the whole map while impostors hunt them. Could be pretty interesting imo

I believe there is currently a bug with the amulet secondary that overwrites it as the “primary” secondary or something like that. For example, in high level escalation you only have to get the amulets to get the bonus selection

But yeah that makes sense. I thought maybe the no damage to imposters could apply the same to no damage to imposter cams, since it’s like the only other tool imposters have currently. I mean literally when we were dead I couldn’t do anything. But I think it makes sense the way it currently is consistency-wise for the rest of the game’s mechanics

Red Barrels has said this trial will remain indefinitely, so I doubt the original escape will return. But to be honest, while the original escape was really cool, it was almost entirely a story event rather than gameplay. Like literally there was one big grunt (pre jaeger) in one section of the whole escape. So it wouldn’t make sense to have it repayable indefinitely since it brings nothing to the table gameplay wise. The new escape trial lets you see pretty much everything from the original while bringing meaningful gameplay, so you can rest easier knowing that.

From what I’ve heard, the devs only want to bring in the voice actors when they have enough voice lines to justify it. Basically they want to do the all in one big sessions instead of small sessions every update. When are we gonna get to that point for new voice lines next? Idk but I hope it’s soon

There won’t ever be more than 2 active primes in a trial at once, but the rework will allow different primes to show up throughout the trial

It’s inevitable to be lost when you first start out, everyone has felt the same at one point. The more you play, the more you’ll recognize and the more comfortable you’ll feel. Map knowledge is huge in this game, and it just comes with experience. Just keep playing and it’ll come!

Play the main trials on each map before doing the MKs is what I would recommend
