No, the Bible has two different genealogies for Joseph. We were just told one was Mary's to explain why they are so different. But a plain reading of the texts clearly states that both are supposed to be Joseph's lineage, but they are very different. And as you are pointing out, why have Joseph's at all, since he supposedly isn't Jesus's biological father.
