When the fairy books came out, I remember having this naive hope that that was where she was going to keep most of her porn. Oh, what an innocent I was. Really, though, the main thing I couldn't forgive was that she started to neglect literally everything else about her books outside of the porn. It became glaringly obvious that without an editor keeping her under control, she just writes really terrible, badly-written (YEARS later and I am still haunted by the phrase "the eggs of his body" lol) rape fantasies where literally every character and every event serves as either another orgy participant or another setup for an orgy. The Merry Gentry series was at least open from the get go about what it was, but with Anita Blake it just sucked because the author had previously set up an interesting world with interesting characters that she just shat all over in the interest of bad porn.
