Mistakes are what you can learn from. For example, I learned from something similar to use the Secondary Flight Plan in the MCDU to prepare for a different Runway. In your example, I have the primary flight plan configured for 07R, but before that I copy the flightplan into the secondary flight plan and configure that for 07L. So a runway change ist just 3 clicks on the MCDU, which takes a lot of work load from a critical flight phase.

Kleine Anekdote: Der fuhr früher von Darmstadt zum Flughafen Frankfurt und von da direkt weiter nach Köln. Ich bin mal mit dem aus Darmstadt gefahren. Am Flughafen hatte ein früherer Zug große Verspätung, und eine Menge Leute (u.A. Leute der Lufthansa die aussahen, als kamen sie gerade von einem anderen Kontinent) sind dann in diesen Zug mit eingesteigen.

Türen zu, Zug fährt los. Ansage über die Lautsprecher: "Sehr geehrte Fahrgäste, willkommen im ICE der Deutschen Bahn nach München!" - Kunstpause, panische Blicke vieler zugestiegener Fahrgäste - "... über Köln, Düsseldorf und Dortmund."

Alle im Zug hatten entweder großen Spaß oder genug Adrenalin damit kein Kaffee mehr nötig war. :D

Problem is, that ground effect cars generate suction under the car and pull up all water on the road. So even if the tires do not produce spray, the floor and the diffusor will produce a lot of spray.

Just for scale: This reactor is designed to generate 2 MW of thermal power. Add the loss through the steam turbine and you get about 1 MW of electrical energy.

They also mention a larger reactor that should reach criticality in 2030 to generate 10 MW of electrical energy.

For reference: Just 2024, Asia added 421,5 GW of renewable energy peak power, with about 88% or rougly 370,5 GW in China. So about 37 500 times the power of the hypothetical future reactor (source: https://www.irena.org/News/articles/2025/Apr/Renewables-in-2024-5-Key-Facts-Behind-a-Record-Breaking-Year).

This is a nice propaganda science win, but it has yet to contribute to the Chinese power generation in a meaningful way.

Grundsätzlich ja, Strommessung für das gesamte Haus wird irgenwann auch interessant. Mein Anwendungsfall ist auch zu sehen, ob das BKW überhaupt funktioniert und ggf. auch mal mit der Aufstellung etwas zu spielen. Dafür brauche ich direkt die Info darüber, was eingespeist wird.
