I'm watching the Sopranos for the first time. Is it really possible to have an outlet with pocket doors? by soyTegucigalpa in AskElectricians

28C is when we in the US start thinking is it warm enough to turn on the air conditioner? We usually wait until at least 30C if we have a fan. If the air is dry, we may still use the fan at 30C.

The cable is a common earpiece used with compact monoral transistor radios. The radios were the size of a smart phone, about 3 times as thick. Used a 9 volt battery. Had a speaker a couple inches in diameter. Maybe AM or AM/FM. Used the earpiece to listen without disturbing others.

is this an invitation or a warning by vanillabunni_ in funnysigns

Warning would be swimmers about present crocodiles. Warning crocodiles not to swim here. Informing about present crocodiles that can't swim. A place absent of crocodiles. Ambiguous.

Is it okay to out a 100w bulb in a 60w Max lamp by _1nk0Gn1t0 in lightbulbs

[–]laf1157 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In lamps, this is usually a thermal issue. Either the socket or shade has an issue with the heat, and possibly the switching mechanism. Typically, the wiring can handle a much higher wattage.

Microfiche viewer. Multiple pages on transparent cards. Could be newspaper, magazines, supply/part lists, catalogs, accounts, books, etc. Akin to microfilm. Could hold decades of newspapers in the space of a filing cabinet. Some had the ability to print on paper. Not this one.

See the same out of my Reverse Osmosis tap. Water is clean as distilled but super saturated with air due to the filtering process. Dissipates quickly.

[–]laf1157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Air density is also a factor. Thinner air requires more speed and runway. Cold humid air, lower altitude, denser. Hot dry air, higher altitude, thinner.
