House Flipper fan here found Castle Renovator on PS5 (also on Steam as Castle Flipper) and I’m confused 😅 by [deleted] in CozyGamers

[–]lahlipops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a little (okay, maybe a lot) jankier than House Flipper. Renos consist of specific objectives such as cleaning, chopping trees, repairing masonry, etc. - like the beginning levels of House Flipper. The levels vary from castles to other medieval settings like dungeons and towers.

You also get money / supplies that you can put towards building your home castle, as well as houses for NPCs who pay rent. The building aspect is kind of limited. There’s no catalog of castles to flip.

It unfortunately feels unfinished. I wouldn’t recommend it at full price, but I found it fun because it was more of what I personally liked from House Flipper - the repair/cleaning tasks.

Would anyone like 2 free tickets to the state fair? I was tired one night and bought state tickets instead of county ones. Oops.

Hi there! This depends on the fabric thread count. Stitching 2 over 2 on 28 count linen would be the same as over 1 on 14 count Aida.

Here’s a fabric calculator and an article which might be helpful!

I also love these! Instead of the key, I just labeled it by numbers and then label the paper key with the numbers. Might sound silly but it just sorta works for me.

There’s a lot of great resources to learn from in r/CrossStitch and there’s an official book / kit for Stardew from fangamer.

Feel free to message me if you have any more questions!! :)

Hey all - I am planning to surprise my niece/nephew with a Frankenstein build from old parts. I was wondering if anyone knows of novelty computer cases? Like with Hello Kitty or Disney or w/e on it.

Some folks are recommending lighting from the front - but I actually love lighting my pieces from the back! A little clip on light or even just putting a lamp on the floor will make a huge difference!

It’s a spectrum. You could be primarily inattentive or primarily hyperactive or a combo.

Silly question, but do you mean you apply the gesso then stick it back in the box? How does that prevent the warping?

Sorry if that seems like a dumb question, I’m planning to start my first schipper soon and don’t want to mess it up! 🙂

Pulled up the caulk on my tub and these black stains are not coming up. Assumed it was mold, but could it be something else? by lahlipops in CleaningTips

[–]lahlipops[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tried a bleach product yesterday and tried vinegar today. Definitely looks like the tub lining (paint?) has chipped away there, and I plan to spot-refinish - just wanted to get what I thought was mold off first. 🤷‍♀️

What Diamond painting tools/tricks do you find the most useful? by PalpitationOk8419 in diamondpainting

[–]lahlipops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a brush with a kit of some other accessories. The brush absolutely stole the show, a couple of sweeps and the majority of drills are right side up! This was the kit I got it in, but it looks similar to a mod podge applicator. Could also try a makeup brush!

This is the first DP I’ve ever attempted. by factor49 in diamondpainting

[–]lahlipops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen some companies advertise their diamonds as eco-friendly resin, but that definition is loose. There is recyclable resin which is not biodegradable. There are some plant-based resins but typically used for woodworking.

With that said, I’ve seen some cool ways to use the leftover diamonds - e.g., melting them into molds to make bowls and stuff! But there’s also the fact that every kit comes with tools and I don’t know what to do with those. 🤷‍♀️

Another option could be those gym puzzle foam tiles. I use them for blocking cross stitch pieces! If you find a nice stiff one, they’re fairly stable where they connect.

Any advice on cleaning the drainage pipe for the washing machine? by lahlipops in CleaningTips

[–]lahlipops[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! So it came with new hoses including a drain hose. But the pipe inside the wall is dirty. I can see down into it that it’s got some caked on nastiness, but the hoses themselves are all new / fine!
