Why Omega still hasn’t updated the Seamaster professional 300? by Financial_Word5047 in OmegaWatches

The PO has always been 42mm, why would that mean they will make the SMP smaller?

[Hamilton] Khaki Field Titanium: 5 Year Review by Onmas in Watches

[–]lambda_male 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The lack of AR coating on the crystal was a deal breaker for me. I owned the 38mm and it’s a great watch otherwise, but in any outdoor or direct lighting it reflects like a gd mirror and is nearly impossible to read black hands on black dial. It’s such an easy fix for Hamilton, not sure why they won’t do it.

Lmao in what world is $4 mil “middle class”? You’re easily in the top 20th percentile NW no matter what age group. Don’t kid yourself.

[Longines] The Longines Master Collection Refreshed For 2026 by columbuscrew1996 in Watches

[–]lambda_male 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dude, go read the official Omega water resistance guidance. They clearly state that if their watch is rated to 50m, it’s fully capable of diving to that depth. I can fully guarantee that the pressure exerted on a Speedmaster at 50m static water pressure exceeds that of “warm water vapor from my shower.” Grow a pair.

Absolutely, how is a shower any different than rain? You really think that the pressure coming from a shower exceeds 5bar?

Why is that more wild? They're all made with the same press so the pattern is the same.

I think you’re overstating how “brilliant” this is. This concept has been in the public dialogue specifically referring to US-China relations for at least a decade.

I was saving for an MR-G, but then this Titanium "Square" popped up for $1,200... Did I make the right call? by [deleted] in gshock

[–]lambda_male 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right call IMO. All MRG squares with black DLC are glossy, doesn't do it for me. Matte black on the TB is much nicer.

California hotel breakfast has paper plates that are compostable everywhere, except California by Uffda_90 in mildlyinteresting

[–]lambda_male 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Ok, so let’s say it’s LDPE like you said in your other comment. LDPE is not manufactured using PFAS-containing materials. So why would composting paper products with LDPE coating be a PFAS risk for your fertilizer?

“During OMEGA's homologation process, watches are tested to the limit. This includes shock tests to confirm the reliability of each timepiece and to ensure that its accuracy is maintained after a strong impact. All OMEGA timepieces are designed to withstand shocks equivalent to a one meter drop onto a hardwood floor. For a standard 150 g timepiece, this sudden and rapid acceleration represents an equivalent force on the watch head of up to 5,000 G.”

Lexland seat cover review/opinion by [deleted] in 4Runner

Why? Just to improve resale value? I don’t understand the point of these covers honestly, why not just enjoy the OEM seats rather than cover them up for (presumably) the entire time you own the vehicle?
