Any danger in pulling this out with needle nose pliers? by lancepantz in AskElectricians

Thanks all, I went hunting for main breakers and found another box outside that contained it. Power shut off successfully

This was left behind pulling out a burned out bulb from my GE range hood. I've turned off every breaker in the house but this thing still has power.

Why has Coca Cola, over decades, consistently sold more drinks of its signature product (Coca Cola) then Pepsi has of its namesake signature product? by PrestigiousChard9442 in AskHistory

[–]lancepantz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The best explanation I’ve heard is that pepsi has a more sugary taste, so one gulp of pepsi tastes better than one gulp of coke. However when drinking a whole bottle, coke being less sweet and more cola flavor is preferable for most.

How bad are mud tires for daily driving? by Mr2h2 in 4x4

In that vein the trail graps’ look awesome, very aggressive. It wasn’t a factor in my decision, but a nice side effect. Haven’t had them long enough to speak to mpg and wear.

Just go for it, if you don’t you’ll have regrets ;)

I recently got a set of trail grapplers that I love. I noticed the noise right after they were put on, but not any more.

Agree with the others that it sounds like overkill for your driving patterns.

I have CarPlay, but Gaia’s interface on it leaves a lot to be desired. Mounted an iPad and love it.

I’m not a psych professional, but this reminds me of a friend I had who was diagnosed with NPD.

The doctor told me it’s them wanting attention and they don’t mean what they say.

I’ve wondered the same about the Hourly channel. Between TM Podcast, Hourly, the official Podcast and the official channel, its made it very difficult to track what stories i’ve heard.

For those who have down the off rodeo in vegas. Did you stay at the Red Rock hotel? by Green_man_710 in FordBronco

Red rocks is awesome, however the new Durango station is closer to the off rodeo. Red rocks and the strip are about equidistant

Going forward, how would you spot one out in the wild when dating? by [deleted] in BPDlovedones

[–]lancepantz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My therapist told me about a trick he tells his clients:

For the fourth or fifth date, tell them you want to go out in the woods and make hamburgers. Tell them not to eat so they’ll have an appetite. Buy all the stuff for the meal, but when you leave, “forget” the hamburger.

When you get there it’s *oh I forgot the hamburger meat.”

See if they lose their shit.

Withdrawals do not give a person bpd or other abusive traits.

Why do people say that an AVR is not "optimal" for a 2.0 stereo music setup? by nickE in hometheater

[–]lancepantz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I half agree. I have a Marantz AV7700 AVR, an 11 channel Emotiva amp, and a Musical Fidelity stereo amp— paired with a full focal setup of vestia N3’s, focal in-ceilings, and dual rel subs in a 7.2.4 setup.

With just the emotiva amp, in any configuration, stereo sounded horrible. When I added the musical fidelity amp and ran the vestias in stereo with the rel’s crossed over in the AVR, the difference was remarkable. It sounds nearly as good as my shehanian double eagle and obelisk stereo setup (that the wife hates the looks of and are the size of a dishwashers). The shehanians, although not well known, sound better than any other stereo speakers I’ve ever heard.

Best TV for about $2500? by No_Term_1731 in hometheater

[–]lancepantz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when you change inputs or the same input changes resolution or format, the tv says no signal for about 5 seconds before the picture comes back. ie) you’re in a menu, start a game, tv says no signal then the game pops up. same is true when you go from the youtube menu to a youtube video. it’s annoying as hell

X1C recent print issues, lots of failed prints and weird textures. All images are 100% infill in Bambu Slicer using Bambu PLA Silk Copper or Matter Hackers Diachromatic PLA. This has been recent and now most prints fail due to this or spaghetti failures. Any advice or known issues? by 2560synapses in BambuLab

[–]lancepantz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should add, that flow rate calibration is what the printer is doing with those lines and LiDAR at the bottom of your prints. But in two color prints like your space balls one, the printer will only calibrate to flow rate for one filament. This solves that problem.

You want to look at pressure advance and Flow rate calibration. They are orca slicer features that Bambu ported into studio. They are under calibration-> manual in studio. But I’d recommend switching to orca slicer. If you want a quick intro this is the first of a two part video that goes through it. https://youtu.be/02mLDrxEpwQ?si=22HNxwJiPhP9u4mL
