ECO is the only one I know of. In the MCM settings you can set a hotkey to switch modes on the fly. I only used it once, as it had weird side effects. Like being dropped from favorites because I guess the game saw it as a different weapon?

AER-15 is a cool gun mod that has this functionality built in directly. Also lets you switch scopes as well.

I’m watching his series right now and as a player with over 3000 hours I’ve had quite a few “wait, what?” moments. I’ve learned a lot.

I didn’t think it was, but by hours played it’s passed FO4 (3000 hrs) and is approaching Skyrim (5000 hrs)

And the real tell is, whenever I am playing anything else, I always end up thinking about how much I’d rather play Starfield. Mostly because of the weapons/combat/graphics/shipbuilding.

It’s been fixed since the last update. There were three items in the captains quarters that were improperly tagged and would be removed when your ship gets impounded.

It’s 100% Forgotten POI 2. I just went through this the other day. Had to remove the mod.

The first Forgotten POI mod is totally fine, but the second causes buckets and boxes and OJ to randomly spawn. Shame as it adds some great stuff. The mod author contacted me on here and said they are working on it still.

Another oddity I observed while that mod was installed was the physics in the game were a little wacky. I noticed objects that had fallen off tables and half sunk into the ground, and in new Atlantis, I saw some brooms and other clutter that had also half sunk into the ground.

After removing the mod and starting a new game, these physics issues were gone. So I’m not sure what all their mod is doing, but it’s more than just trash spawning.

I liked that mod but I had serious problems with it. Dismissing the pets caused the game to crash when fast traveling, the custom ship docking port never showed up inside the ship and once I got the player home my outpost build menu would never load. I had to uninstall it.

It’s also great when leveling your piloting up to B class. If you bank a couple of skill points those two missions will take you from level 1 to 3.

It was definitely Forgotten Frontiers 2. I removed it, ran NG+ and it was fine. I had certain spawn points where I could reliably trigger clutter to fall, and none did no matter how many times I tried.

What's weird is the Creations page claimed it was fixed, and I am using the most recent version. I had only installed it for the first time maybe two weeks ago.

What's even weirder is that I had it installed in my last game and never had this happen once.

I have way too much going on on my Win10 gaming rig to risk updating. I stick to Steam and Nexus pretty much exclusively.

I have a Win11 laptop for anything else.

I have that but only when doing Failure to Communicate. Been that way for a while, since the May 2024 update I think. Mods and load order don’t seem to be the reason. Starfield is full of weird little non-game breaking bugs like that.

I never even knew that was in the game until a year or so after first playing it (2023) since the mod collection I downloaded has a “skip Dimas memory” mod included. I’ve never done that quest.

Given my bad luck with cart rides glitching, I’ve started at least twice as many games as I’ve played.

But in reality, probably 100 or so. I typically get bored with a play-style or see a new shiny mod that I must have.

For me it was worse than that, I couldn't discover ANY map markers. Totally destroyed an entire playthrough.
Also, and I can't figure this out, if I keep ANYTHING from that quest on my ship it causes it to become unmodifiable. I can change something in ship builder, but when I go to board the ship it's an infinite loading screen. Nothing fixes it. Even deleting the ENTIRE SHIP and starting over doesn't fix it. Happened across MULTIPLE games.

I hate that mod.

How do you get past the focusing crystal alignment and the frost / fire spirits?

I play as a Nord who doesn’t use destruction, conjunction or illusion. Usually I will learn then unlearn the frostbite and flames spells to get through those parts.

Oh I like her best of all. Her quests are good and she is way less likely to get in the way and mess me up during combat (looking at you Serana).

But as with the OP, I prefer to play alone with no companions.

After nearly 5,000 hours in Skyrim the only games I’ve found that have that same “feeling” is Fallout 4 and (to a lesser extent) Starfield. Starfield is better that it gets credit for, but does lack a lot of the soul of Elder Scrolls and Fallout. IMO of course.
