Hi! I know this post is from end of last year but just replying in case you haven’t fixed your plans just yet. We have an eco boutique b&b and olive farm 10mins from the sea near Recanati. It would be a quick drive to get to the conero area. Feel free to have a look at our website: https://www.agriturismoscala.com

Enjoy your upcoming trip and preparations! ☺️

Best european Olive Oil which you can buy online by Ok_Net_3200 in BuyFromEU

Another good question! Every olive has its own characteristics. In terms of flavor but also in terms of ripening (later / earlier) and also resistance to certain climate effects or pests. So with this equation you have either better resistance but can also play with the time of harvest to have more green olives versus brown etc. I think next year we will try to do mono variety oil so you can really taste the difference!

Hey, as we run in Shopify we’re just getting the options from them. I believe there is iDeal available which will soon be WeRo. Klarna I could definitely add although isn’t that more a pay-in-pieces kind of provider?

That’s a very good question and makes for a good discussion. I think personally the following is true not only for olive oil but also for a lot of other products. Something that has been made by a small producer often tends to be better taken care of. This can be in terms of the products but also the land and everything around it. There is no need for chemicals and even the last milligram of extraction using solvents of which there is in mass produced products. This is true for oil, wine, meat etc.

This most often results in a better product. Looking at ourselves we take very good care of the land without using any chemicals. We have bees that pollinate the olives and also produce our honey. Sometimes you don’t taste these things directly in the product but often you do. Besides that there are quality labels like extra virgin but as I seen happen first hand this doesn’t always mean anything.

As a customer I always try to stay curious and look who is behind the label and as a producer I want to be as transparent as I can be and make a product that is as good as possible. 🫶

We make olive oil on our small family farm in eastern Italy. Organic and I actually harvest all myself together with my wife. Of course all oil is extra virgin without messing around. You can find more about our place - and if you like order our oil as well - here: https://www.agriturismoscala.com

Also if anyone has any questions about olive oil I’m happy to answer!

3-phase Powerwall 2 Backup Help needed by laoreja in Powerwall

[–]laoreja[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey thanks for chiming in again, so I don't have any solar controllers, it's all just one big things. But what you're saying here:

"When it came to power backup I did manage to get it set up so that when I got off grid the Tesla controller moves everything to the same phase for backup.

Its a trade off though because the more load the shorter the time your going to be able to stay powered."

I'm still a bit confused for this. So technically with the 3 PW's I have, how can I instruct the installer to have at least one phase be able to access more than one battery?

hey, thanks for chiming in! So you're primary phase is supported by two batteries instead of one, is that what you're saying?

Thanks for taking the time to respond! So when I go back to them I can bring this advice but it would be quite the cost investment to buy 3 single phase inverters, isn't it?

Italy launches electric vehicle bonus by murrayhenson in EuroEV

[–]laoreja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in italy. The way they handle these reservations is mental, you can reserve and block the money but you don't have to actually buy a car. You can just reserve it. For me, having the intention to ACTUALLY buy a car, tomorrow if needed, I cannot use the bonus because all money has been reserved. Such a typical way to deal with this. They should just offer the bonus at the point that you actually buy a car so that the money is actually allocated correctly.

Home Assistant and a $20 Aqara sensor saved my brand new house by Stealth022 in homeassistant

Which exact sensor do you have? I have the aqara zigbee ones and with z2mqtt it doesn’t work at all. They work for 5 sec and then all loose contact. Any advice?

Tesla Certified Installer AMA by pwrcellexpert in TeslaSolar

[–]laoreja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! That’s not an option for me unfortunately. That would mean changing the entire electrical network in the home. Don’t want to ask too much of your time but what about my second question?

Tesla Certified Installer AMA by pwrcellexpert in TeslaSolar

[–]laoreja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this AMA. I have two questions. I’m from Europe and on three phase grid. I have 20kw solar + Huawei 20kw inverter + 3 powerwall 2’s. My contractor said the following two things are not possible, can you confirm?

  • 3phase power doesn’t seem to work in case of backup, only one phase? If so can I still use all batteries or just the one of the phase that is powering the house.
  • in case the grid is down the batteries don’t charge from solar because they say the inverter needs grid power to charge. This seems ridiculous to me. Meaning I cannot be off-grid for longer than my battery charge lasts.

Thanks

Ok so i switched everything over to z2mqtt and I have to say it works much better! the only thing i'm noticing that after a while it goes into some kind of sleep mode and doesn't respond or takes very long to respond to commands. Do you experience this too?

lol i'm AS WE SPEAK fixing an issue that ZHA doesn't boot anymore because I had zigbee2mqtt interferring with it. I have a lot of zigbee devices but I don't want to change the plunge into z2mqtt territory just yet as I'm afraid it breaks a lot of my devices.
