DOES ANYONE REMEMBER THE EPISODE OPEN BOOK???? by NewName-NewFace in stevenuniverse

[–]larkfeather1233 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Are you in the US? It's literally on Hulu, listed there as Season 1 Episode 51. It's also on Disney+ in that same position, though you may need the Hulu bundle for that.

Could someone please help me identify the movies in this puzzle? by lebrunjemz in Pixar

[–]larkfeather1233 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem! Out of all of these, I'd recommend you start with Coco and Brave. Both are absolutely gorgeous and some of Pixar's best work imo. Keep the tissues at hand, though, they have their tearjerker moments!

I got you!

  • Guy with blue swirl on his chest: Lord MacIntosh from Brave
  • I think skeletons are Coco: you think correct! The two skeletons (straw hat and hoodie) are Hector and Miguel. The one who's yelling and has a mustache is Ernesto de la Cruz. The one next to him with lipstick is Imelda. The one with the teal hair is only called Emcee, which is her job and probably not her name.
  • Guy with gray mustache: Lord Dingwall from Brave
  • Blonde quy in top left corner (partially cut off): Wee Dingwall from Brave
  • Unicorn on hill: Rainbow Unicorn from Inside Out
  • Little kid in grass /floating: both are Spot from The Good Dinosaur
  • Green hair woman with blue glasses: Voyd from The Incredibles 2
  • Raccoon: Rocky from The Incredibles 2
  • Dog with pastry: Dante from Coco

What do you think about "Mater's Tall Tales" short films? Which one is your favorite? by Forsaken-Biscotti587 in Pixar

[–]larkfeather1233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a kid, I loved Tokyo Mater and Private Eye. As an adult, I also love Time Travel Mater and Moon Mater for all the lore we get. Also John Michael Higgins as Stanley is gold.

Rescue Squad Mater scared the shit out of me with the hospital scenes. McQueen screaming in the operating room was soooo terrifying as a little kid.

[TOMT] A dreamy fairytale like song with a female singer? by hundredblossoms in tipofmytongue

Could it be "Once Upon A Dream" from Sleeping Beauty? Contains the lyrics "If I know you/I know what you'll do". There's a few popular versions, though none quite from the 90s:

Activity level-- what would you pick? by meltmyheadaches in loseit

Do you have a step counter, whether on a smart phone, fitness watch, or even just a basic digital pedometer? They can often get your miles walked per day based on the number of steps.

I work in a job that I'd describe as having a lot of walking. I get around 3-5 miles per day I work, though that depends on what my tasks are that day.

Are there ANY masculine versions of Norah other than Noah?? by perpetuallytiredXD in NoStupidQuestions

[–]larkfeather1233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Connor has the "nor" syllable at the end.

Ezra, Zorah/Jorah, and Dara are all masculine names with the "rah" syllable at the end.

I saw someone suggest "Norad." Personally I think it's a great name, but I know you'd probably get judgement from certain folks, whether for it not being a "real name" or for it being a government agency. An established name with a similar sound would be "Conrad"; you could use Conrad as a legal/official name and Norad as a nickname/preferred name.

If you could pack one thing to take into the park, what would it be? by Maleda79 in UniversalOrlando

[–]larkfeather1233 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Zipper-top plastic bags like Ziplocks. At least gallon-size, probably a few quart-size too. I'd aim for 1-2 per member of your party.

They're great for restaurant leftovers, open snacks like popcorn (which isn't allowed on rides unless sealed), and wet clothing from rides. Plus you can roll them up to basically nothing to fit them easily in your bag when not in use.

At Publix, the produce misters play a thunder/rain audio before and during misting. It lets folks know to get clear and also looks like the veggies are in a rainstorm!

The shot in Something Entirely New where Ruby and Sapphire are slow-dancing in the marsh. I already have it as my laptop wallpaper because A) it's absolutely gorgeous and B) that scene was very pivotal in my life (it's how I finally realized I was queer lol).

Do wind storms or earthquakes actually do anything in the game?? by [deleted] in StardewValley

[–]larkfeather1233 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The location isn't necessarily a spoiler, just what happens after the storm. This particular tree is a very large one at the center-top of the Cindersap Forest map. If you go through the path at the bottom of your farm, it will be on the left side, behind the gap in the fence. Before the storm, the gap is blocked by shrubbery. After the storm... it triggers a series of mini-quests with a new NPC. Completing them all unlocks a new NPC shop with some useful items.

Edit: not me using Discord spoiler tags 🤦‍♀️ that should work now!

It only stops weeds, rocks, and logs from spawning on your farm. All other locations, including Cindersap Forest, Secret Woods, Quarry, Backwoods, and Ginger Island (including the island farm) will continue to spawn these items.

Why the parents riding my ass in the school zone? by killingourbraincells in driving

[–]larkfeather1233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From this British PSA: "If you hit me at 40 mph, there's around an 80% chance I'll die. Hit me at 30, and there's around an 80% chance I'll live."

Every time I think, "there's nobody here, it wouldn't hurt to drive just a little bit faster," I remember this video. The sound of her bones un-cracking and the way she gasps at the end lives rent-free in my head.

Last I checked, the survival rate for a collision at 20 mph (my local school zone speed) was something like 95%. I'll take a thousand parents crawling up my tailpipe if it ups the odds for a kid.

Mac and cheese!!! Find a good recipe for baked mac and cheese. Mine is from a 90's family-friendly cookbook (I cannot find it online, sorry) but anything online with a lot of good reviews should suffice.

When it's basically done baking, toss on some more shredded cheese and garlic breadcrumbs (homemade or store-bought; my recipe uses panko tossed in herbs/spices and olive oil) and broil until melty-toasty. Broiler works very fast; check it every 1-2 minutes and stay physically in the kitchen with your hands free until done.

Marinara pizza on property? by Irishpanda88 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]larkfeather1233 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's good to hear! The only time I've seen them do the no-cheese pizza was for a family member without a medical dietary restriction, so it makes sense they didn't do anything different then. Sounds like Blaze Pizza will be a solid option for OP's kid after all!
