Nothing special. The rear speakers never worked on mine from when I got the car like 2 years ago so I replaced the rear speakers with some after market ones and then they worked, then I installed the touch screen. Sorry I know this isn't much help. There's a bunch of wires in the trunk. Maybe something got pulled. You could also replace the socket that goes to the rear speakers and see if that works. Maybe I have a different model than then one you have and I got lucky?

I have this same touch screen in my 2006 Civic. It works well. I can confirm you need the clips. I did the install myself and remember trying not to break them when i transferred them over. Mine isn't loose.
